Jack stand type recommendation.

Thanks for the link, I'll use the points circled in blue, or at least I can use that location to jack up the car enough to give me clearance to insert another jack under the normal jacking point in yellow.

Hockey pucks for me too! I asked my wife to pick me up 4 of them from the skating rink. So, she calls me from the hockey store in the rink and asks "what color". :bored

Can't help it; the blue pucks are generally made a bit heavier for stick handling practice.

This IMO is an interesting thread because far too many folks are hurt badly or worse when working around and under gals on jacks stands; they are not all created equal and the solicited rating often is worth less than the ink used to solicit it; in fact many are little more than fancy packaged junk.

I have several styles of jack stands as well as lifts with rolling jacks within my facility however with this having been shared I do a great amount of work on the gals with them in stand stands aka fixtures with there being times that the gals rest on them for many weeks as such I want an extremely stable and safe environment.

These 22 ton square shank units with the large square base are my favorite. They are rock solid as such my confidence level when working under the gals is without question.

They are by Omega Part #32225 and this set I picked up from my Mac tool man

A "great" time was had, more Rally information to follow however I wanted to share that those that use this stands will be very happy with them and feel secure/safe when doing so.

There is no compromise with these stands. Highly recommend. I also took Shadowman's lead and put some duct tape on the tops too.

There are no nickels in these for me however there is "significant" peace of mind knowing that folks are using them because they are IMO "extremely" safe.

With these there is IMO no risk of failure and because of the design once the gal is placed on them she can be pushed and tugged on with no concern of her falling resulting in damage or …. much worse.

There are many alternate jack stands out there and most have a significantly lower cost of admission however I refer to these as fixtures because they are rock solid; built like a brick poop house, and allow me to feel comfortable working around and particularly under the gals.

Great stands!! I use my other ones now as table legs for a table in my guys area of the shop.

EP only needs the jackstands to keep the tires off the ground so that his fleet doesn't get flat spots from never moving! :lol
