Inane Ramblings: The Ford GT and Ferrari Lust


I went back to look at my comments from 2011 in this thread. Since then I sold the 360 CS and bought two vintage Ferrari's (330 GTC and a 365 GT). Both are wonderful driving experiences. My favorite still is my 40K mile Ford GT.
 
if I had five GT's I still wouldnt sell one of them to get a 458, but if I had 6 GT's........ nahhhh still wouldn't.
 
Thank u guys... My collection started mainly as Mopar muscle but now u can see it has gotten a bit more modern... The FGT is still my favorite to drive, but the 70 Bird survivor with 440 six pack and 32k miles is my 2nd pride and joy...

Very nice- I love the '68 Charger and the A12 Superbee. I am restoring a black '68 Charger for my oldest son right now. Your Superbird is quite a catch! I have a thing for the winged Mopars, too:

Love the MXT, its a towing beast. U don't even know when the 35ft enclosed is behind it. Bought it last fall with only 11k miles. It replaced my H2 and has no towing problems...

Maybe the most beautiful V8 since the 308

I drove the 458 in Vegas & its handles so nice w good power

I really like the Aventador too. Totally different beast but SO beautiful
 
Holy blast from the past, Batman! Since the original post, I have ordered, waited for, and subsequently sold, two Ferrari 458s. Still have the GT. Still love it.

Traded it to Shelby for the demonic Carrera GT. Makes the 458 feel like a Hyundai.

True on both accounts! but honestly no body even wanted that car! it was passed up so many times, funny how a few years can change things, I remember there was another I wanted to buy a year after for close to the same money but I kept thinking to myself I must be an idiot to buy three GTs', oh how I kick my self now. well at least I was right about the idiot part!
