My guess is 650-670.

Since the warranty mileage is unlimited for 3 years, I'm just going to Forest Gump it from coast to coast non-stop from 2017-2020. Aiming for 400,000 miles.
Dave, let me know if you are picking up hitch hikers:biggrin

Stormy sure knows how to start up a speculation thread.

Well.. I bought one ...I'd kind of like to know how what the heck I'm getting ! ! ...:lol

Please understand , some of my family are not car people, the conversation goes like this. " You spent how much money on a car!?! What can you tell me about it ? ".. my reply " Ummmm... It's white " ...:rolleyes:rolleyes:rolleyes

Some people that did not get one would not care about stock hp. mooded 6cyl GTR's make 900 plus easy. Who's going to be the first to mod this car? Will this car ever run the Texas Mile? I know it's a track car but I would not want to get beat by a hellcat . The GTR is onlly respected when they are modded. I like the TT Lambo also only because of ET times and power. Do most car people think like this or is just me because I'm more of a street car driver ? Wait they wanted this car to be seen on the streets .

Let's see who will mod this car first or put it shows only . Did mullet get one ?

:lol

Trust me, it's not that far off from what I'm gonna look like in it in 2017.

A friggin' Hyundai would outperform McLaren on that!

Tell us how you really feel, David.:biggrin

I would like to change my guess to 630 / 539. LOL

Northern routes in summers

Southern routes in winters

:thumbsup

You decide:

3 year warranty - 605 HP
2 year warranty - 620 HP
1year warranty - 640 HP
No warranty - 727 HP

LOL - I can see it!

If you study motors and power outputs as brake horsepower per liter . ( BHP / Ltr ) both NA and boosted and take this into consideration as to what's been done and what's realistic we can form some conclusions.. Ford's 5.2 liter NA Vodoo motor makes 526 HP which is a hair over 100% Brake HP per liter which is very good for a Normally aspirated motor. We know boosted motors run at a higher percent.

Looking at the F488 a 3.9 liter turbo motor @ 660 HP is a tad under 170% BHP per liter
The M 675 LT 3.8 liter turbo motor @ 666 HP is a tad over 175% BHP per liter

With that said a 3.5 liter motor running at 175% BHP per liter would put out about 612.5 HP
For a 3.5 liter motor to make 650 HP it would need to run at 185% BHP/ Ltr.

Those wishing for 700 HP would require the engine to operate at 200% BHP/ Ltr, not sure that is realistic and still provide a 3 year warranty or the longevity we expect from Ford

I'm in at an optimistic 635 HP , Hoping for more but not sure if it's realistic..

I guess the real HP freaks will need to talk to Roush Yates to make a big bore kit or a stroker kit !! :biggrin

So what's your HP guess ? Lets save the weight estimates for another thread.. Hopefully we'll know soon !!

You can lose all of those percentage signs...

%Stormcat% - I liked your post even with the %s LOL. I hear you already planning that large fixed wing like the race cars?

For the record, the video games are just a guide. The numbers are in range, and there is more than 1 video game with the GT in it.

Think of it like a cracker jack box, you know you going to get a surprise just don't know what it's going to be.

%I'm ok with anything over 600hp%

OMG - can you just tell us already? The intrigue and suspense is killing me :>) I really car about 0-60 and lap times btw...
