Horse Power ,, Here We Go !!

I think closer to 3000-3050 lbs more likely, but hope it's lighter

Ford cooperates with video game makers. Look there.

I hope Mr Turn 10 doesn't read this but I'm not really a gamer but thanks for the subtle clue !! :lol
I think someone brought up the game specs before so I guess they are legit..

I guess this won't be the first time a toy company advertently or inadvertently pre-released info about a highly anticipated sports car to the public ( Gen Viper 5 / Hot Wheels debacle :biggrin )

That is impressive. Would it be reasonable to speculate that Ford may 'unlock' power as cars are released like other manufacturers have done?

2890 lbs seems unrealistic, but we shall see. In full wishful thinking mode....

Others have pointed out that Ford may not follow its tradition of offering an off road tune for this car. What they say makes sense to me.

It has been stated directly from someone heavily involved with the program ( to protect his Identity won't be named ) they are extracting as much horse power and still be able to offer a 3 year warranty, etc, there's a little left but not much..

I'll take more HP and a 2 yr warranty :)

670/590 would be my guess.

I hear ya !! :biggrin

but would really love to see low weight more than high HP.

+1 !!

Since the warranty mileage is unlimited for 3 years, I'm just going to Forest Gump it from coast to coast non-stop from 2017-2020. Aiming for 400,000 miles.

I'm with Apollo. I'd much rather have lower weight than more power.

It's going to be crazy fast so I really don't care about the actual numbers. I have no idea how much HP / TQ my current GT has and when somebody asks, I am pretty sure I grab a different number out of my ass every time. :lol

All I know is it is plenty fast.

You'd should be able to grow your beard that long in three years.

I think we can also be fairly confident it will out perform the new McLaren in percent $$ value retained over time

A friggin' Hyundai would outperform McLaren on that!

Pack light.

Chances to loose drivers license for speeding ?

Gonna be yuge!

That power/TQ with that weight will be wicked. Let's face it though, as Rocketman said, it's more than most of our skill level can handle. I know I'll be smiling trying to improve my skill level!!

True that. I'm calling out anyone who complains about the NFGT's power now: make sure you include your best lap time on a known track.

You can never have too much power ;)

I like StormCat's thought process. Very logical.

Don't take the bait Sinovac. :lol

You like this.. Just read the Motor Trend NSX vs GTR comparo. The NSX is claiming to be an everyday super car / GT . Here's a quote that made me laugh about his comments on Storage space..

" Then there’s the trunk, a narrow cubby that seems smaller and hotter than an Easy-Bake Oven. My briefcase didn’t fit inside it, sparking another rant from Jonny, who swears he wasn’t inebriated when a Honda engineer said he benchmarked the Alfa Romeo 4C’s shoebox-sized trunk during the NSX’s development. Clearly the Honda employee was drunk as a skunk, either when he chose the 4C or when he admitted to it. "

The New GT is about the same but at least we're not claiming to be anything other than a street legal Race car.. Storage space and MPG be dammed !! ( the MPG part is for you Tomy !! :biggrin )
