Not even close. That's actually the first time the car has been out to the track and it's got quite alot left in it. I wouldn't be surprised to see the car end up knocking on a 7.X depending on what the owner does with it. 8.7@169 first time at the track, 90* weather, time left in the launch. Defending has sub 8.50s in it as it sits, but it was built with drag racing in mind, so it's not your every day TT G.

Good lord, that seems a lil faster than the spider....
 
That is almost incomprehensibly fast for a streetable car. I wonder what our rigs would do with 4.11s instead of 3.36s. Not just in the 1/4, but on the track as well. Not many tracks have a Mulsanne straight.
 
No RWD car is getting into the 8s with any tire that could remotely be considered useful on the street. That is 15" wrinkle wall, bias ply slick territory. AWD is tough to beat.
