I never built a house before in my life let alone any construction project - I'm a Software Developer/ Technology Entrepreneur by trade. I built the house for my wife so that I can build me a nice garage. All the garages will have Barn Doors with an underground Motor Home parking/Work Shop/ 4 Post Lift.

One year ago today, the first piece of lumber went up. After only one month into the project, I fired the contractor and took over. 12 to 14 hour days and mostly 6 days a week. I am nearly at the finish line - looking at 4 to 6 weeks to completion.

In the process, I have become good friends with the Fire Station Captain and the new Sheriff Captain as well. I am supposed to get a helicopter fly over in the next couple of months for some aerial photos. My wife and kids have been my greatest supporters and I am blessed with great friends to boot.

..I assume all family members have been/will be issued their own pocket GPS units so that search & rescue won't need to be called out????????!!! Or do you just have those, "you are here", maps located throughout the place???!!
