Just a reminder for all to keep cool heads please. We've had more than one frustrated owner with issues before, and luckily, they've largely been taken care of.

I'll be happy when Sam is happy, and I'll say that there is an abnormal amount of really intense kool-aid going around for this particular shop. The mod motor is not new. Many, many tuners have competently performed mods on the 5.4, and in this application. But to suggest that it's the cars fault when Sam has had it for a long time in fine condition...:skep

DBK ,YOU DIDNT RESPOND TO MY MESSAGE, IM MAD AT YOU NOW:tongue . SEE HOW SILLY THIS CAN GET:biggrin GTJOEY 1314:thumbsup

well as mad and bitter as i was, i am calmed down right now and feel much better.
9:30 this morning bob from ida showed up at my door with tools in hand.
after about an hour of tinkering, we took the beast out for a cruise. i now know what 632 rwhp horses feels like coming out of the best made car in the world-- freakin awesome !!!!!!!!
i think at 140 mph bob started to make stinky things in his pants--lol
according to bob, when he did all the initial work, the re-programed puter did not recognize some of it, and that is why it was acting the way it did.
he re-programed it again, set the idle and mixture, and now it is acting like the car i dreamed about.
according to bob, as of today, he will no longer be using the detail shop that allegedly detailed my car when it was at his shop. he offered to have it re-detailed, but i told him i would do it myself in the spring time.
in closing, want to thank bob for doing the right thing, and want to thank each and every member of this great club for being so concerned.

a very happy and relieved sam
and a much happier #1451

I hope everyone has learned a few lessons from this. Don't make statements when annoyed, gee I sound like my Mother. Also report what actually happened with embellishments. Always go back to the person who did the work and ask them for assistance if there is a problem real or perceived.

While most members of this Forum were trying to be helpful others just look for something negative, regardless of who is at fault, to create tension. This is not reality television. It is real life.

Uncalled for comments can adversely impact someone's reputation and business when there was really nothing to get cocnerned about in the first place. BTW this is not the first time this has happened on the Forum.

Their action does nothing constructive and just exaccerbates the situation and places undo pressure on the original poster. It also creates a feeding frenzy.

Both people involved are honorable and this whole thing never should have happened but it did. Sam has a car that runs to his satisfaction and Bob stood behind his products and services just like he originally said he would to Sam. How it got out-of-hand so quickly is for someone else to worry about as it has no real meaning now.

Continued happiness to both.

Dave

No quite liquid, the consistency of butter which is used in place of butter in many kosher homes. At least before cardiologists screamed bloody murder about the fat content and other unhealthy aspects.

Good points Dave, might be wise if some of the posters deleted their own posts. Everyone can do what they feel is right.

Great! Now we have 2 (two) Miss Manners! Baron, I appreciate your remarks and agree totally.
