Would the carbon fiber wheels from the GT350R fit our 05-06 GTs? I can't find the offset or bolt spacing. Expensive but light! Fronts are 19x11 (Ford part number: FR3Z-1007-R, retail price $4,174.93 each) and slightly wider 19×11.5-inch (Ford part number: FR3Z-1007-S retail price $3,536.33 each) for the rear.

Current optional GT wheel specs. (From Raphie and Stormcat posts)
Front:
20.44 lbs
5-lug, 4.5" bolt circle
6.90" backspacing
50 mm offset
18" dia x 9" wide
tire 235/45ZR-18

Rear:
25.352 lbs
5-lug, 4.5" bolt circle
7.295" (or maybe 7.825?) backspacing
40 mm offset
19" dia x 11.5" wide
tire 315/40ZR19

GT350R CF wheel specs. 18 lbs each
Front:
5-lug, 4.5" (114.5 mm) bolt circle
X.xx" backspacing
Xx mm offset
19" dia x 11" wide
tire 305/30ZR19

Rear:
5-lug, 4.5" (114.5mm) bolt circle
X.xx" backspacing
xx mm offset
19" dia x 11.5" wide
tire 315/30ZR19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2

Fronts look like they will be a problem on the GT. No one running 11" wide front. 10.5" is widest I could find. CF front may be heavier than stormcat's front.

wheel studs are larger on the Mustang also 14.5mm I believe.

???
- Why would the front be so much more expensive than the larger rear?

- Anyone know the current Ford list prices for the GT optional wheels?

For one thing the fronts have a ceramic coating to protect the carbon fiber from break heat. This is not on the rears and may be the reason for the extra cost.

Last I heard they were over $4k per wheel. Check with Rich & Denis at the GT Guy.

Thanks guys!

Always get good, quick answers here. What a great group!

I think Blake is probably correct here.

From my notes on the GT350R CF rims-

Front Offset = +24 mm
Rear Offset = +56 mm

GT350R are made by carbon revolution. set will run 15-16 or so made for GT the mustang wheels wont fit properly.

Wheelb, there are many technically savy owners on this forum who use the knowledge base of our owners to answer other owner questions. It is helpful to be accurate and succinct in your information.

Like “set will run 15-16 or so” Now does that mean a SET of 4 GT350R RIMS from carbon revolution will COST between $15,000 and $16,000? Or does this phrase somehow relate to model years 2015 – 2016? And are the rims you are talking about the standard or optional BBS rims for the 2005-2006 Ford GT or the GT350R? “made for the GT the mustang wheels wont fit properly”. Just a lot of questions about what you are trying to relate. Perhaps others understand. And I know my 18” standard Ford GT BBS rims/tires will fit my 2012 Boss just fine (front and rear). And I do not believe they changed the bolt pattern/diameter on the 2016 models.

Im running 20x10.5 and 21x13 .

Sorry, again I don’t get it.:confused

You are running 20” and 21” diameter rims (?) on what vehicle? And you quote my post which talks to the previous posted question of (unknown) offsets the new GT350R CF rims have. Sorry I don’t see the relevance of invoking my offset information with your diameter/width information. Apples and oranges.

I believe Jeff Larson used a set of 05 18" Standard Front wheels on his Ford Fusion, all around.

Ralphie I think you are correct. Looked sharp.
And before Jeff comments, it was a Fusion SPORT.:biggrin

yes I did, and yes it was.

Had to add TPS sensors. Ran it this way for two+ years with GT Goodyears.

btw I fitted then to my '50 Ford. Fronts worked well. Had to relocate a brake line.

Rears hit on leaf springs. Was going to bag it…another someday project however.

yes sir 15-16k will run a set a set of carbon rev wheels will cost made correctly for a GT not a mustang. The main issues from mustang wheels off the new Gt350R are front fitment you'll stick out of the fender im super flush with 20x10 et 42 and 20x10.5 et 52 with really no room left. I m running 20/21 on my ford GT we are on Gt forum assumed we all talking about GT fitments sorry for assuming heres my car http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/s...-in-all-her-glory-!-MT-FGT-)?highlight=wheelb

Ouch.

Yikes.

Early on, I bought an extra set of standard wheels, since my car came with the BBS forged wheels.

I thought it would be nice to have an option of going to the standard wheels.

Now it looks like maybe I should have bought a spare set of the forged wheels. :) Hindsight is 20/20 they say.

That would be neat to see, if anyone has a pic.

Anyone know the bore size .. is it 67.1? thx
