I wanted to share this with my Ford GT forum buddies.

It took me 18 months to find the right 68 Shelby GT 500 in the right color for me.

I got it tonight.

1968 Shelby GT 500 (Lime Gold)

53,000 original miles , the car is in excellent condition (only have a minor fix to do to the rear emblem trunk area).

Can't wait to cruise with this thing next week.

Very, very nice!

Enjoy it ---often.

If I remember George Husseman used to supply NOS motor dress parts for this car. If not call Scott at KarKraft.

Man it is one of my favorite years and just a beautiful stang.

You must be a man with great eye fir the nicer toys in life.:thumbsup

Had this for about 4 years, 400 miles on it, no grease, absolutely perfect. Had it at the GT Rally at the Petersen in August. :banana

Very impressive. I had a '68 like yours for 20 years. I had to sell it to buy the GT. Should be a great investment for you as it was for me. Enjoy it! :thumbsup

grazie così tanto i miei amici

The Sheblys are an inspiration to own. MK2 congratulations! :thumbsup

In some respects, as breath taking as the GT. Would sell neither one of them. They have no price.

Love that lime gold.

I had a Chevelle in that color in college.

They should bring it back

My 1969 z/28 is the same color. GM called it Frost Green. Paint code is 29.

This was was exclusive to FoMoCo for one year, if I remember "correctly" 1968.

Beautiful cars - fortunately my monitor has a wiper, but the keyboards now damaged...... :cheers

Still love that candy GTX-1 though! Ooooh mama I love that car! :thumbsup

The old Shelbys stand out......

Moss green with parchment inside...44,000 orig. mi. A real family member. Had for 17 years and hope for many more......
