Today Kendall and son installed my new total gauge set. My gas gauge died, soooo now all new with OEM put away for safe keeping. Very good quality and installed with little effort. Much better overall appearance with great lighting.

They look nice. What was total cost of the complete gauge set with bezel?

LOOKS GREAT! Is that the 4.5" Speedo? Is light leaking out under the MPH text?

Can you post a close up pic of the tach? I am wondering what the lights below the red line or on the right side are for.

I think Mardyn said they are programmable shift lights.

I went over to George's place last week and checked them out. The quality is really top notch. Well done George and Cooltech.

Yes, it's the 4.5" and no there is no leaking light.

George, as always, it was great to see you today. I enjoyed catching up while we watched Ryan work. Life is good, LOL!

First, other than having a very small hand reviewing the installation instructions for the folks at Speed Hut a while back, I have no affiliation with them. My advice for them would to "gear up", because they have a real winner on their hands! This was a VERY easy install. The quality and fitment is simply first rate. There's a tiny bit of sanding or dremel tool work to be done on the locking rings for the new gauges but it is very straightforward. There is NO modification to the GT dash nor is there ANY wiring mods required on the GT. The entire new gauge panel is literally plug and play. This is a very nice product and I would recommend it to any GT owner.

Kendall,

Would these gauges work on our CF dash by Ewing? Btw, very nice gauges indeed!

My understanding is the tach is a smaller size and different shape so the CF dash would not work without an accessory ring to fill the void.

I think they look sweet ! Love the tach with the red line at 12:00.Shift lights are never a bad thing either .
On the older 911's we use to pull the tach out and turn it to get the red line at 12:00

They gauges look great. There is a choice of gauge bezel finish (black or silver) in addition to the dash finish, right?

How long was the installation?

This answer will have a lot to do with the experience level of the installer. On our side, we've probably had 30 or more dashes out for one reason or another so now it is pretty straightforward. Regardless, the Speed Hut instructions are thorough and I would say that 2 hours would be an average completion time from start to finish. The aforementioned sanding/dremel work is not because of a poor design - but rather a good dessign. Speed Hut really maximized the size of the gauges that they could incorporate. As such, the plastic threaded locking rings need to be sanded ever so slightly after they have been "clocked" to their tightened position. Rather than dremel in place, we just marked the positions with a pencil and quickly removed the locking ring and then removed a little material with a belt sander. Writing about it here takes about the same time as doing it. Hardly worth mentioning.

I found shaving the spacer ring where they come close to the information bar and directional helps also.
