We were on our way home from Wisconsin and Illinois seeing family and friends Sunday night and i came up on a state trooper and a new Ford GT pulled over to the side off our exit ramp. It looked like something was wrong with the GT so i got out and it turned out it was out of gas. The Ford engineer was out of all things doing fuel economy testing and he ran out! So the family and I went to go get him a gallon of gas while the trooper waited with him. Came back and filled her up and off he went. So when it reads 0 to empty, don't chance it with a half a million dollar car! :) Kudos to Ford testing for that so it doesn't happen to us. Late night road side assistance Pat Milliken Ford style. Lol

I did think about it, but i wanted to keep the driver and the cars identity private. :) Plus it was pitch black out!

That is just too crazy of a coincidence.

Good job! Karma will pay you back in spades!

What a coincidence. Hopefully they will dial-in the instrument calibration before they build my car. However I am used to not having a properly functioning fuel gauge with my yellow 2006 GT.

And I would've guessed he got pulled over for speeding

Made my day..customer service at it's best.

I've come very close to out a couple of times in my '05.

p.s. Daddio (Tim).....alll my gauges work just fine!

Hmmmmmmmmmm Found On the Road Dead? FORD?

I think in this case it would be, Found on Road Dry.

In our Lemons Ford Escort, the low fuel warning is, when it stumbles in a corner, bring it in. Elsewise stay on the track and beat it. Has been (engineer) tested and approved.

In my '67 Ranchero I have run out of fuel when the gauge is at the half mark. Will you help me Kevin K if I run out of fuel in my '18 GT? LOL. You guys are too cool!
