The roof is going to be painted, so no luck yanking that off. Graphics are not optional on LS. Car was already booked and won't be available in time for the Rally. Will check on the curb weight.
As for Boss vs. GT500, they are very different cars. For starters, Boss will be cheaper. It will max out with a number starting with "4". It's also going to be slower in a straight line. It will be a much better dedicated road course car. GT500 is for guys that do what GT guys do, which is add cheap power and build rocket ships for the street. Boss and LS are for people that want to use a vBox and analyze lap times. You can't make a Boss easily put out 650 hp. I also think the GT500 is substantially better looking and way more tasteful. The Boss is a car I want, but in all honesty, it looks a bit ridiculous (at least the Laguna Seca version). The painted grill and wheels are just...very East L.A. to me. I just know I absolutely love the 5.0L in the GT I already have, and a 7500 rpm screamer version with another 40 hp with killer brakes and some weight yanked out will be a blast on a road course. I'm told it sounds unreal through the side pipes.
All I know is that the next 3 years are going to be a major shock to the system of people that thought the era of high performance was over. I want one of everything. :biggrin
