To be clear are others just delivering to the hotel and hoping the valet guy doesn’t take it for a drive? If yes, who at the hotel should we coordinate with for off-loading, storing the keys, etc. Lastly, how early should the car arrive. Thx!

We are in but I still need to coordinate schedules, especially since we're driving both ways (~750 miles depending on route / weather). Are there events scheduled for Tuesday and Friday daytime(s)?

In the past DBK has always been there to help unload/load & keep keys. I & others have helped him. I'm not sure if it'll be the same this time.

It's always worrisome when you ship your GT to the Rally but rest assured DBK will coordinate this with Reliable and his band of Minions.

Submoose, to be clear as Gary correctly points out above, your car will be taken care of upon arrival at the hotel if you are not there. Do not worry at all about this process. This is always a central concern (as it rightly should be) of new rally attendees. But trust me, I have been to 13 of these rally events and your car WILL be off loaded, inspected and signed for by a FGT owner who has a GT himself. Keys will not go to some valet guy.....

For the last rally and being local I went to hotel day before rally to assist DBK with GT unloads/parking and he already had everything under control.

I've driven mine to every Rally in the last 10 years. Stop and get pictures of it in front of the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Shiprock, the San Juans, or Old Rt. 66 attractions, Cadillac Ranch, the Big Texan, whatever... And post your travelogue here!

Well, the "long" part isn't west of the Rockies, it's the "flyover" parts east of the Rockies.

Yup but I’m in the middle of a transaction and that is killing my availability. At this time I am hoping my key to the house works when I get back from this trip!
All kidding and worrying aside, i just booked my flights. I’m arriving in Phoenix on Sunday so I might be the guy unloading my car. I’m doing a Road & Track Rally in the spring, starting at COTA, I might drive it to that one.

Look up the hotel parking lot on google earth. Good trailer parking. Although, many trailer eating trees sticking out waiting for you. You can see these on google earth as well.

Reliable picked up my GT today to transport to the rally. Wife and I will be slowly moving west stopping at the Albuquerque balloon festival, Vegas, Tahoe, Yosemite, then on to Scotsdale. Look forward to seeing old and new friends!

Wish I could make it but already long time ago set up a roadtrip/concert tour with my friend - to follow 3 shows of Mike Tramp’s White Lion. Starting Oct17 in Dallas and ending Oct26 at the Whisky in LA …. So have to go back to work a bit again. Would have loved being back at a Rally.

Have an excellent Rally. If anyone is already in AZ OCT23-24 I’ll be passing through
