Just completed my registration for Rally 9. Glad I didn't stop by LV on my way back from Rally 8. This will be our first visit to LV so ought to be a very special time with the GT.

I've been watching the Rallys unfold for several years now but this one is in my (soon to be) back yard. I just registered for the event but I need to know more about the host hotel.

I'm assuming that there are some social events there.

Does the rally require the hotel? But we'll be moved to Vegas by then (or at least splitting time between Colorado and there), so I don't need the room to stay at. And I'll have my own limo service if I need to not be behind the wheel. :)

So is there a hard linkage to the event and the hotel? What do others who are local to the event do?

Guess it really depends on how much of the activities Dave has planned within the hotel itself. Most of the evening social events will probably take place in the hotel, but obviously during the day, most/all will be out and about with their cars in town/at Spring Mountain or hitting the casinos/shopping.

Clinton (Black ICE) drove in from home for Rally 8 but was there for all the big events. Ask him if he felt out of the loop.

Yeah, or undergoing recreational surgery performed by a set of inebriated loose canons in a Sonoma hotel suite.

Even though I think we would have been fine with Dr.Lee calling out scalpel moves and incision points!!!!!

Want to say thank you to DBK for his hard work on these Rally events. This will be my second and hopefully not my last.

:biggrin ... actually it is quite the opposite way around ..... I had unlimited Makers Mark & icecubes in my room - which attracted a rather large group of prominent FGT Forum members - probably more than the room was approved for :biggrin:rofl - and between the many toasts for Bony .... it was quite a party :wink:biggrin:lol:facepalm:

So Terry, don´t be afraid of me it the room .... be afraid of who I invite :biggrin:rofl:lol:cheers:cheers:cheers:cheers

What's the chance of a GT parade down the strip ?

That would be crazy fun :thumbsup
