Yeah, I think they are gonna drive it back and forth on the back of a flat bed past the prancing horsey gates.

I wonder what it cost - and in what department it was charged? (!) Doesn't seem to be able to sell cars....

Appears to be part of a larger initiative from Ford Europe to showcase design and art and how it relates to the NFGT. Agreed that it's not doing anything to sell these cars. I'm guessing the foosball table and sofa aren't doing much to get vehicles out the door either. Neat nonetheless.

Can't get enough of the lines on the new Ford GT? Then Milan is the place to be this month. That's where Ford will be presenting a series of objects whose designs were penned by the same talents behind (and inspired by) the company's new supercar.

Set to be presented at the Salone del Mobile furniture show in the Italian metropolis, the collection ranges from tables, chairs and light fixtures to a sailboat, foosball table and electric guitar.

"We have an incredible amount of talent in our global design studios," said Ford's chief designer Moray Callum. "Salone del Mobile is the perfect forum to share some of that creativity, while also offering our designers an opportunity to get exposure to new ideas that will inspire future Ford design."

In addition to these seemingly random objects, Ford has also partnered with architect Attilio Stocchi to create a special light exhibition entitled "Favillia, Every Light a Voice," similarly inspired by the new GT. But if your plans won't be taking you to Milan anytime soon, you can check them out in the images above and the videos and press release below.

The Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano was launched in 1961, with the original focus being Italian furniture.[3] The original sponsors were furniture manufacturers from the Federelegno-Arredo trade association.[2] The trade show grew in size over the years, allowing many of the 13,000 companies which comprised the global furniture industry to showcase their wares in a single event.[2]

The current show occupies an area of nearly 230,000 square metres (2,500,000 sq ft), and includes 2,500 companies, along with 700 young designers at the Salone Satellite, a secondary exhibit.[2] The show's annual visitation numbers 270,000, with attendees from over 150 countries worldwide.[2] The show is now organized and operated by Cosmit S.p.A., a trade show corporation and a member of the ICSID (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design) and ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Interior design around the world gathers at Milan in April every year at Milan Design Week commonly known as Salone Internazionale del Mobile covered online at designers such as designerzcentral.[2]

Personally, I think the light sculpture is cool.

When I first read about this I did not see that light show thanks for posting. Are they selling the guitars at all? Going to ask someone to look into that. I'll get Jimmy P. to sign one when he visits this summer. Hopefully if they do sell them the colors will match the new GT Colors lol

Still haven't seen a picture of the boat design anywhere.
