Ford GT Engine & Transaxle for sale

first of all, no one at Ford or anyone on this forum should be calling something stolen when they don't know what they;re talking about. Ford's system of scrapping or dismantling vehicles and engines is not understood by most people at Ford, especially the engineers or program managers. It is very possible (or likely) that the test mule Super Duty pickups were scrapped and the early GT engines went to a core supplier or rebuilder. DST who did much of this work for Ford could care less if it was a Ford GT engine or a 4.6 2valve out of a Crown Vic. They (DST) did the job they were paid to do. Just becuase we hold the GT engine to the highest of powertrains, the core program people could care less so don't accuse someone of having something stolen unless you know ALL the facts first. I hardly think Dan would be advertising stolen parts here or anywhere else.

I just did call it STOLEN, after research. PERHAPS SINCE YOU NOW HAVE BECOME THE EXPERT YOU WOULD LIKE TO POST A BILL OF SALE. WE ALSO CAUTIONED EVERYONE INCLUDING DAN THAT THIS ENGINE MOST LIKELY LEFT THROUGH THE BACK DOOR OF FMC. WE WILL WAIT FOR THE BILL OF SALE, AND IF PRODUCED, WE BE SENDING OR REGRET FOR THE ACCUSATIONS.

...unless you know ALL the facts first...

Which is why I repeatedly asked for info on the engine in the first place. Never got any answers. Not from Dan, but from the guy who originally sold it on here. Anytime you ask someone where they got something and the answer is a bunch of vague "not sures", I assume the worst. It's not like these things fall out of the sky, and the only reason I can think of why you wouldn't know the chain of events leading to acquiring something like this is because someone doesn't want people to know.

HEY , BONY , THE CAPS THING IS CONTAGEOUS ISNT IT :biggrin. TEE HEE GTJOEY 1314 CAPPIN AND HAVIN FUN!!!!!!:thumbsup

Hello Joey,
Normally, when I am joking, or yelling I use caps. In the post above I was yelling at the SPECTATOR.

I want to again thank you for the owners pin you sent me, got the PM, but already posted a big THANK YOU BOOBALAH, BABY, SWEETHEART on the thread :)

God Bless America,
daniel

ENJOY!!:biggrin gtjoey 1314:thumbsup

Well mine is new and transaxle.

Just bite the bullet and spring for it.I like looking at it like a piece of art.

you can yell at the spectator ( who owns a GT) all you want but it still doesn't excuse you from saying "it appears stolen" "please don't offer stolen parts on this site". I understand most people don't get how the scrap program works at Ford (and yes I am an expert on that subject). Just don't say something is stolen when it's probably not. Do you think Barret Jackson asks for bill of sales on drivetrains on every street rod that goes thru the auction? Just becuase a bill of sale is not present doesn;t mean it's stolen. you;re assuming an awful lot and posting crap!

First off, we are not going to have an internet fight. Go find another site.

According to FMC that motor is stolen. Reread this sentence ten times.

In many states, California being one, if you try to register a new construction vehicle you must produce bills of sale for the key components.

Nobody every suggested that auction companies ask for bills of sale for the parts.

Now, either behave in a civil manner, or hit the road. Consider this the warning it is meant to be.

CA is even worst than that. If you don't get one of the 500 per year sb100 specialty car registrations you must have all of the OEM pollution control devices operational on the car based on the year of the vehicle. The year is the later of chassis (if production), or motor (must be an OEM production engine). Since that motor was never used in a production car (being a prototype) unless you get an sb100 registration you cannot operate in on the roads of CA.

I don't understand where the controversy is here. Am I being unclear? I asked the original seller of the item what the history of the motor was and received vague answers. It's like asking a guy on the street selling Prada handbags where he got them and getting the answer "they fell off the back of a truck". "OK! Sounds legit to me!" That's assuming a lot.

Then, when I get a call from someone at FMC asking about it and after giving the limited amount of information anyone is willing to give on it they say it's stolen, it's not a giant leap of faith to assess that as a likely scenario.

And yes, I know, you are an expert on how Ford scraps stuff. Assuming that's the case, maybe you can find out where it came from and if it's legit, because given the information so far, there's nothing to make that judgment.

This proves that DBK is a generous and fair dictator.

Comedy has prevailed over possible crime.
