Looks great. Is the weight of a wheel and wheel+tire known ?

The press release said, they are just over 2lbs less than a forged aluminum wheel.

The wheel looks fantastic.

I read that, but having an absolute number would be crystal clear.

I'm guessing, that info, with all the other specs we are yearning for, we will have to wait longer for...

Sadly, they probably look best on a black (Specracer) car. :))

I don't follow the competition as closely as some here do. What other manufacturers offer a carbon wheel as available from the factory?

That's any easy box to check now. Those would look awesome on the 350R too.

Looks superb. Just imagine your local tire shop cringe when you need a tire change....

Just imagine YOUR cringing when your local tire shop touches these!

One of the major after market accessory suppliers - someone like Griot? - offers a fixture to mount wheels and hang them off the wall for display purposes.

If you get a new GT, you can hang your spares up.

In the more likely case of no NGT, you can buy a set and display them, waiting for the secondary market to develop.

In any event, absolutely stunning!

I read that, but having an absolute number would be crystal clear.

Gentlemen,

That article said they weighed 2 pounds less than the already super light aluminum wheels and that was a 25% savings so the aluminum wheels must be about 8 pounds each and the CF wheels about 6 pounds each. If the article was referring to a 25% weight savings on a wheel/tire combination (which I doubt) then the CF wheels would have to weigh about half as much as the aluminum wheels. It's almost certainly the former. Cheers.
