Sweet.
I recognized Gingerman as one of their test tracks.

Grattan!

Garen is one of the best people to talk to about the new GT. He's one of those guys that really has a super deep understanding of why everything is where it is and can explain it in terms that can be understood by engineer and general populace alike.

Somewhere, Bony is smiling about all that carbon fiber.

Great Vid!

Very cool video DBK. Thanks for sending.

I love how when it flips from the road car to the race car, there isn't a huge amount of difference. From :35 to :45, without the big wing, not a lot separates the two.

I agree 100%. And the fact that the comparisons don't stop there provide greater excitement and anticipation as the road car is furnished with similar engine, suspension and weight saving measures. What a car. Ford is really going all out here. Good for them and those lucky 1000 - 1250 future customers.

Very cool! Thanks.

Is Garen going to be at Daytona? You're right that he would be a great person to talk with about the many more features that are integrated in the design.

Still tough to get with the program on the sound though. Reminds me of millions of buzzing cars heard over the years at SCCA races.

Will there be any legitimate V8 sound at Daytona other than the 'Vettes? Will there be a lesser class that will have "street" cars such as Corvette, Z28, GT 350R, etc.?

Don't get me wrong. I'm behind the Ford racing and street versions all the way. I think Ford has created a fantastic car for the ages, that will set a new standard for contemporary design. ( Unfortunately, "contemporary" doesn't last too long these days, but that does not detract from the accomplishment.)

If I were ever to have the opportunity to own one, I would take it in a heartbeat. I hear you can pipe exhaust sound into the cockpit these days, so that should take care of me.

I see they are using StormCat's allocated car for wind tunnel testing.

Sooo true... This is such a special car. I would rather have this car in may garage and on the road rather than any other supercar!

The idea that the shape, design and engineering came out
of a necessity to compete is super exciting in my opinion. This GT is drastically different from all of ours in its purpose but undeniable in its Heritage and drop dead styling. Like I said before, Masterpiece.

It was great to speak with Garen at the rally. A real car guy ! I think he told me he has run on Grattan with his own car many times

Trust me, the cockpit is designed for aero.....a pretty tight fit. 😀 The NGT is at the office today. This car is pure performance artwork. It really is breathtaking.
