A 5 year Labor of Love is finally complete!

My Brother Kamran converted a former cinder black laundry room basement into a showcase space:

-Vintage Racing Art Gallery
-Trophy Room: Memorabilia of my family's Cars, Races & Travels
-A Racers Bar & Lounge
-GP Garage

I scoured many iconic racetracks (Laguna Seca, Lime Rock, Monaco, Daytona), Paddock Clubs, & F1 lounges to capture the spirit, style and speed of Grand Prix & Ford GT40's heritage.

We used materials and design elements from the period:

-wood lockers & cabinets for race gear (& liquor)
-steel, glass & leather
-Mid-century Barcelona inspired Seating & Chairs
-Swank bar and Racing books collection.
-GT Bay w. F1 Track Banners

In partnering, we learned alot about each-other: from a Brother's love of hand-built wood craftsmanship, to remembering our old Dad and his love of cars and planes to seeing a project through completion during tough times, as family, budgets and priorities changed.

His Sons pitched in from nailing sheet rock, to laying plywood sheets down, to doing the math, to hanging a walnut plaque from Boeing given to their Grand Father on delivery of a 747.

Three generations; remembered, working hard and dreaming of higher places.

Kamran is the best brother and made this happen through passion & dedication.

A grand vision, family and hard work always take off.

We built our own Winners Circle.

Wow, looks great. Your new avatar I mean. LOL. When I finally got past that, your winner's circle is awesome. The posters look fantastic. Great job on the collection. But it looks like a tight squeeze to get in and out of your car when parked, but geez, cool parking place for it.

Looks terrific. Nice man cave.

Great job and very impressive

Very nice Kayvan, but you need to put in a lift, and raise the ceiling that way you can fit a couple of toys in it and stay out of CCG!!!!

Excellent! Always nice to have the family involved.

Nice job!

Very nice. It will be a shame to lose it when you move to SoCal or FL.

SoCal will console me with Barbies and 6 bay garages...

Man Cave looks great! :thumbsup Very Nice. +1 on the lift if you stick around.

Edit; I have never seen a gas valve and meter on the inside of a house before.

Looks great, need a bigger TV to fill up that cabinet, and an IR repeater to hide that fugly cable box....

Awesome work, I remember the early pix. Oh and your thoughts of it being "done"? never, it will continue to evolve, as you find new stuff!

Andy its time for you to post pics of your man castle!

42'' Vizio for $499 from Wallys...staying in budget

Yep, it would sear the kids retinas over that

what an IR reoeater

No worries, you did build the cabinet for the next TV....

An Infra red repeater, would allow you to put the cable box in the cabinet, and have an "eye" on the TV that would allow control. PM if you have more questions or want help, as AV is my biz.
