Excitement Of The Week – Really NOT Funny

CCW 24x7

Fred, I'm certainly glad your story turned out the way it did. We Quail hunt in South Texas only 48 miles from the Mexican border and we all have hand gun licenses and carry while on our 9,000 acres lease. We never know who or what we'll run into while on the lease hunting. One can never forget ones safety in this day and time. Being very alert to your surroundings is very important to your safety today.

Feinstein looks like a transvestite Al Capone in the last picture. Maybe it's the pinstripes.

I bought another .45 in honor of this thread.

Update:
Sheriff says they caught the 2nd fugitive.
Hard to hide from good tracking dogs.

Funny thing is that while “in the moment” I knew something wasn't right with this guy and his story, but there was no fear at all, just cautionary observation.
All I wanted to do was to get this a--hole out of here and go back to my fence work.

After the fact, all kinds of “what ifs” start running through my brain.
In retrospect, we were fortunate nothing “bad” happened.
We have never locked any doors on our place unless we were leaving the ranch; now we do.
I’m starting to feel like some kind of city slicker.

Happy to hear that all you have is a nail biter experience and nothing more. Hope the other fugitive gets caught soon. God bless you and yours this holiday season.

Vince, they got him [see update above].

The dogs might have saved your life.

Glad the guy was not armed.

Coincidentally, wife Ercie and I have both had our Concealed Handgun Liscense for many years, but the first time I have ever carried on my person was less than a week ago. Have always had handguns and/or shotguns in all our vehicles, but after hearing your story, I'm going to have one on my person a lot more.

Thanks for sharing the story. That tends to make us all a bit more careful.

Uh - no...that would more likely be the case in Kennesaw, GA...unless you meant "illegally"...? :wink

Nope meant legally, ask DBK about the state of MI and its very liberal CCW policies. Like I said you can pack anywhere in the state including deep into Detroit proper. Very unique for a large American City with that kind of crime.

I have buy a "residence" far away from where I am. Probably more then 200 miles and convince the local sheriff of that.

Stupid Bitch!
Finger on the trigger in second photo.
She must know a lot about firearms so that she can ban them from the good guys!
Glad you got out of this unhurt.
Best to have and not need, then the other way around.
And, as some guy named Clint Smith is fond of saying,"two is one, and one might be none!"
Be safe.
Best,
Mark

And concerning your signature line, "There is NO SUCH THING as too much FIREPOWER."

You can thank DF for me being a gun owner. I was living in SF when she as mayor proposed banning handguns in the city.

Hey Fred glad it turned out ok for you guys

Our ranch is about 15 miles North of Fredericksburg where we feel very safe but when out and about on ranch I always carry but mainly for snakes but you just never know what/who might come along

Yikes !! Scary Story Fred !! :eek:eek

I'm glad to hear you were not harmed, Fred. Maybe you should move back to the U.S.?

Jeez Fred. Glad all is finally OK.

Spirit,

I'm glad to hear that everything is OK. Once I met the six-month Texas residency requirement, I quickly submitted my CHL application. I'm expecting it to arrive next month.

For those who live in Texas, you might consider giving this organization a look: https://www.texaslawshield.com/

Does anyone open carry?

Not in NY.

It's legal here in Washington State, but, I know no one who chooses to do so (when away from their residence, that is).

Be safe.

One wrong move and those dogs would enjoy him as dinner.
