I missed who called the US fat and stupid. Who was that anyway? But then, I missed the Olympics too. I hope our medal count wasn't inflated by male synchronized diving. :/

Here are a few links to help you out:

USA is fat: http://www.aneki.com/obesity.html

USA is stupid: http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0923110.html

If you feel compelled to subtract the two US bronze medals in male synchronized diving for some reason go ahead, the US still tops the count.

Olympic medal count: http://www.nbcolympics.com/medals/index.html

Oh, and since you missed the Olympics you probably missed the recent Mars landing news as well: http://www.cnn.com/2012/08/06/tech/mars-rover-curiosity/index.html

Hope this helps. :usa

...and let's not forget the safety pin, phonograph, light bulb (the 1st practical one, anyway), machine gun, swim fins, Franklin stove, swivel chair, CUPCAKE!, bifocals, cotton gin, suspension bridge, fire hydrant, refridgeration, circular saw, lobster trap, dental floss, milling machine, door bell, spanner wrench, combine harvester, morse code, telephone, steam shovel, solar compass, relay switch, vulcanized rubber, curcuit braker, grain elevator, ice cream maker, and, oh yeah - BASEBALL!!!

And that's just some of the stuff invented before 1850! :usa:usa:usa
