I found mine on Hemmings.com. Just happened to check their website one night after I'd checked the usual websites, and there she was...

Its not just Ebay on the rise...... Actually ebay seems to be one of the cheaper places. Autotrader, Cars.com, and Dupont seem higher. There also seem to be far less cars for sale.

Well.... I think we had somebody list a car $165K on this site? Again, look at the auction prices such as Kruse Monterey... There are cars out there, at correct prices.

Your a dealer, buying and selling and it is in your interest to keep prices inflated.

Sorry, no offense intended, just my 2 cents.

I better get on the stick to load up on four more with the prices rising!

"Correct price" is evidently a matter of opinion, Your Moderatorness. And in this case, $165K would seem to be "correct" only to a minority. :biggrin

What little evidence has been presented in the past few weeks or so would appear to indicate there are far more buyers/sellers out there who evidently are operating in the "incorrect price" camp these days...and their numbers are growing. :cheers

Time will tell ...

I really struggle to think that anyone would pay 190k for a car that can be had for 165k.
As Bony said the cars are out there... for 155-165k. Actually there was one dude that was struggling to get 143k 1 month ago...

Let's be realistic and enjoy these cars for what they were meant to.....

Drive them and forget about the financials

I am aware of 3 FGT's that have been sold on E-bay in the last 7 days.

(1) 2006 Heritage with 1,695 miles on Sept 20th in Houston, Texas for 173,999 (or 99.7% of MSRP) Item number: 160157517592

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0157517592&category0=&fvi=1&item=160157517592

(2) 2006 Tungsten with 1,250 miles on Sept 20th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for $199,999. (or 119.8% of MSRP) Item number: 220150511261

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0150511261&category0=&fvi=1&item=220150511261

(3) 2005 Black with 55 miles on Sept 24th in Jonesboro, Arkansas for $189,000 (or 120.4% of MSRP) Item number: 120161879459

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0161879459&category0=&fvi=1&item=120161879459

So as an average of these three sales we're looking at 112.9% of MSRP.
Not bad in my book. :banana :cheers

Oh no!!!

I better get on the stick to load up on four more with the prices rising!

You've got it all wrong Tim! You are the reason prices are rising! :eek :lol

True Mr Bony.... I am a dealer, but I am not trying to run the prices up as it just makes it more difficult for me to find inventory at a price I can turn a profit. There are very limited numbers of these cars compared to most cars alike. Prices will rise and fall as with any car, but hopefully for th FGT the upward spiral will continue. Till then I will strive to buy and sell the best cars on the market, wether the mark is high or low, I fell that for a long time coming the demand for the cars will be somewhat high..... Just MY .02 :cheers

Bite me. The correct price is whatever someone pays. Enough of us aren't giving them up that the number produced has become meaningless. Between the number of "lifer" cars (i.e, a huge amount on this site, including all the wackjobs with 2,3,4 or more) and the number of "oh wow, what does this pedal on the right do" cars that met an early demise, there is nowhere near the amount of cars for sale vs. total production you see with other similar 360/Gallardo type cars.

Moderate that :biggrin

(of course the GT, like any other car, is a piss poor investment. But I think the total production volume doesn't adequately convey the market for the car because of the unique circumstances surrounding the build, the people who own it, and the astronomical rate at which they have been crashed. If I were to sell it, auction would be the last place I'd do it)

Not For Sale

Do people that own these things really sell them?

NOT FOR SALE

Well, if the price is right, you know every Ho has a price.

Coffee isn't nearly strong enough for me. I head straight for the crack rock aisle at the local Detroit CVS. :banana

I sense a "Battle Royal" coming. I wonder if I still recall from the cold war days how to "Simply duck and cover" :willy
