This was my first time out at the 1/4 mile with the TT/SC setup.

.25 RT

1.78 60 ft
4.67 330 ft
6.90 1/8 at 112.1 mph
8.73 1000 ft
10.27 1/4 at 146.48 mph

The car will go into the 9's, all I have to do is get my launch down.

I did pull off a .02 RT on one of my runs.

I was running R6's in the rear.

HMP, Baytown or Sealy?

Wow that fast on both the ET and TV.

Impressive!!! :thumbsup:thumbsup

(When did the tires actually STOP 'spinning' and start 'grabbing'?! :biggrin)

It was at Hennesseys track, Sealy.

4000 rpms and a fairly good dump of the clutch and they wouldn't spin but a tiny bit. 5000 rpms and they would spin. If I get down a 5000 rpm drop with a slight feather I should be golden.

The track was prepped pretty good so at the end of second right before shifting I would get a tiny bit of spin and of course some at the end of first which I had to short shift a little.

Yup. I knew just from the fact you didn't hit the "nines" that you must have had some spin here and/or there.

What clutch were you running. stock, Stillens, Spec?

Spec. Installed it when I did the TT kit.

Thanks. That explains your clutch still working after those aggressive launches. I suspect a stock clutch would be smoked to death with just 2 or 3 4000+ RPM launches.

I agree (ask Aggie427). That's also how I launch at the Mile but with more slippage.

Jason
that is impressive - remember the good old days when pro-stockers (all-out drag cars) were running low tens? Bet you drove yours to and from the track too - Dyno Don couldn't do that! I've heard Hennesy's track is really narrow and scary - true?

It's kinda narrow but if you get sideways enough to hit the wall you would hit the wall on another track. Run there and you will see it's just fine.

Nah, only if you don't go strait.

Hennesy's walls are a lot closer than the one in this video.

Damn Mullet! That's the fastest ET I've ever seen out of a GT!

Thx dude.

I promise a 9 second run!

Great numbers Jason, congrats!:thumbsup that is the fastest anyone has run the quarter in a gt!:eek

was 146 your best trap?

Good job man !

Yes, I had 2 runs at 146. About half my runs I miss shifted and there were 2 that I got good launches but I then screwed them up with a bad shift. If the stars align with a good launch, good shifts and limited wheelspin I predict a low 150's run.

Star alignment and lower humidity and temps. Bet there was a pretty good south wind you had to deal with too.

Good job Jason. Sorry I was out of town and missed it. Better weather is coming soon.
