Detroit GT Garage Mahal

Under development. It's not far from where the GT was originally assembled at SSV. Camilo came by last night to give his input. Should be painted this week or next and floor polished soon after. I really have to go get my GT at some point. I haven't seen it since I dropped it off to get some restoration at Elite Autos following Nola Motorsports Park in October 2012. :facepalm: Should be home to a pretty decent collection of GTs and GT related goodies when it's done. My old man got himself a new 2014 GT500 to fill some space too.

Cool space. If you are going to polish the concrete floors, I think you will be really happy. I did mine and they are pretty cool.
Make sure they put a sealant on it after though, to help minimize risk of drips and leaks staining it.

DBK, I had the distinct pleasure of visiting Shelby at Elite a couple of days ago, and I was admiring a very beautiful white GT. Looked brand new! I was amazed to learn that it was your car. They do nice things to GTs in Jonesboro. More details to follow on the stealth purpose of my trip...

Don't get me wrong, Somerset is a really nice mall, and it's certainly no Eastland but it has...changed. The TPD keep the smash and grabs done by the people who drive up I-75 from the city quiet to not sully the reputation, but a family friend works at the Neimans and says they've had more than one brazen jewelry heist. I feel sorry for the old broads that work in the Gucci and YSL stores. Looks like a Lil Wayne video all day. Some day I will regale you with the tale of my Great Christmas Eve Skywalk Altercation of 2010. :rolleyes

A guy bought it about 8 years ago, put in a bunch of windows and a new parking lot, and then did nothing with it. At one point I think it was going to be an office, but it the end it just had a bunch of little boats stored from the employees of the owner's company.

Yep, the guys sweated it out in full gear on the roof in 95* heat for two days. Murder!

Floor polishing done tomorrow. Floor guy forecast 6 days on the job. Currently on day 13 with an all nighter planned for tonight. Much of the rest is scheduled to be done Tuesday and we can finally start filling it with toys and art.
