That fascia would make great wall art.

How many do you want?? ;-))

Hopefully there will not be many more taken off the car.... If you get my drift.

Great Videos !! ,, Daytona here we come !!

This is soo freakin exciting... I can't wait to join in the Roar of the 24! Way to go Ford! Thanks for sharing and getting our heart pounding a bit harder.

Really dig the first photo on Post #7 Dave. The new GT looks like it's going to destroy the competition.

Did you all notice when they are pushing the car out of the garage the second video of post #15 a the mechanic stands on the front slitter. Its obviously able to accept some down force. Its at around the 4 minute mark

Just after that, someone with their back to the camera is wearing a yellow R7 shirt. Who was that?

I've seen lots of splitter rides over the years in the paddock. Still seems like you shouldn't do that. They were torquing the panels pretty good while leaning on them without a care in the world. That would make me nervous.

The front fascia had 4 small holes, two on top and two on the side with a long, specialized tool they'd insert to twist and detach it. Alignment rig then quickly popped into the subframes. Low tech, but works quickly.

^^ like pe2unia would be caught dead in a yellow shirt.....

Agreed, 200lbs over 12" isnt the same as a couple hundred spread the length. Probably simple Dzus fasteners? Of something similar.

Pretty tight grouping within the class. I would say the times are pretty encouraging given its a brand new car.

Plus everyone sandbags at the Roar anyways. Can't really take much away from the lap times, but things seemed to run pretty smooth overall.

I can't hide anywhere :-)

Gotta love dials that go not only to 11 but to 12 !

(Most will not get this reference)

Love the MPG - 5.05

2nd picture is what we want to see at the end.

Notice sophisticated navigation system in center of steering wheel.

"she turned me into a Nuet" button....

Real time TPMS, wonder if that part of the display toggles (or all of it), and what else they might look at.
