Carlisle Ford Nationals

The look on Andy’s face is like a little kid at Disney!

Roketman,

That's how my face looks every time I jump into the drivers seat of the Matech cars... it's funny how that feeling just never goes away!

Life is good, especially driving a GT!

Cheers,

Lance

That may be true at your age!

I fondly remember being able to "drive" a car on the Autotopia, a very long time ago.

Teaser video. I shot a lot of video, but I can't edit on the road. We'll be home tomorrow. Here's a short clip of Lance and Greg warming up the two blue cars prior to the unveiling.

Interesting that the cars have a relocated 3rd brake light. Is that required by the racing rules?

Carlisle was a great time. I appreciate seeing Joey, Marci and Doug. Looking forward to next year already!

Who is Doug? Maybe you meant Don Carson?

Is someone taking a picture of the shirt or pooper?

Congrats to Lance, Bill (a Sarasota Café Racer BTW) and the entire Carlisle Events organization for another success, and thanks to all for showing us such a great time.

At one point, we had seven GTs lined up along side the Matech tent, with at least three more GTs stationed in other areas.

The highlight for me was seeing Lance and his partner Greg look as happy as any child at Christmas when the Matech GT1s were unveiled. Goosebumps and eargasms prevailed.

The downtown Carlisle parade was another highlight. Even waiting at the staging area was an opportunity to meet and BS with other enthusiasts. The citizenry turned out in big numbers to welcome us. Even though multiple signs said "Absolutely No Burnouts," there was no ban on making a lot of noise...as requested by the spectators of course.

For 2015 the Ford Nationals will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the GT. The goal is 200 GTs! That is ambitious, but if anyone can make it happen, Lance and team can.

Knowing Ralphie took those pictures . . . that's a fair question.

I will need to put this on the calendar !!!

Gary, I am glad you enjoyed the Carlysle, whoops, I mean Carlisle event! Kudos to Lance and Greg for putting on such a highly acclaimed event.

Bringing out and displaying significant pieces of our Ford GT heritage such as the Matech race cars is a highly anticipated and rewarding experience to those of us lucky enough to have one of these amazing cars. Thank you Lance for understanding the signifance of these race cars and sharing!

Rest assured, it was our pleasure! These cars need to be shared and going along the lines of our business model, we plan on sharing them with the public! It was fun watching people's reactions when they would jump into the car, you just had to sit back and smile! GT's are special and we're all extremely lucky to own one!

Cheers,

Lance
