Carbon fiber wicker from Kip Ewing

OK here's the second new part introduction for the day.

Again; by Shadowman's encouragement, we now offer a carbon fiber wicker for the GT.

This really turned out slick. It is not a wrap or a cover, but rather a total carbon fiber part.

We worked out all the wavy-ness of the original urethane wicker and trued-up the plan view sweep. It also weighs a lot less than the solid urethane part.
As with all of the attachments on our parts, we use stainless steel. It fastens to the rear fascia exactly like the original part.

This one was difficult to photograph, so the photos don't show the detail very well. This particular part is getting stripes when Shadowman receives it, so we sanded out the clear before shipping it to him.

A wicker is a wicker bill or Gurney strip. It is a vertical lip that extends at the end of a spoiler at a 90 degree angle. It can add downforce without reducing the CD. Kip's CF version will look trick. I am having the lower part painted like stock.

Yes, it'll be similar to OEM where the lower rear portion is painted & the rest is exposed CF weave with a clear coat.

My CF wicker is painted & now installed. It looks fabulous & OEM. Plastic on the GT doesn't seem so cool so the CF wicker is a great match. I also have the CF window surrounds. Great combo.
