Haven't seen those before. Bony, may have to ban you! Who sells those, Kip or Cat?

Not if you chew thoroughly.....................:biggrin

Love it !Looks great!The center console would really bring it all together.

Neither. I don't have the info with me right now, I'll try to post it later. He actually just overlays carbon fiber on the original parts. Another forum member turned me onto it.

They do excellent work.

I have the Ewing center console on my yellow car. The e-brake handle, ac vents and steering wheel inserts are being done as we speak. I'll post pics of the whole interior when I get them back.

Looks great! :thumbsup Make sure to post more pix when your car gets done! I can't wait to see the rest.

PS: Bony, it looks like you have some catch up to do! :lol

No binnacle? Looks good to me. What vehicle is the first picture of, with the yellow stripe?

Too Cool, Keith! :cheers

that looks cool:thumbsup so these are just overlays not actual carbon fiber?

Here is a picture of the Kip Ewing Center Console, which is CF throughout:

Randy, I buy it from you 10 times what your you paid for it! :biggrin

Kip hadn't developed the gauge binnacle when I did the gauge surround. It's too much trouble to do it all again. The yellow stripe belongs to my yellow car. I took the pic on the clamshell.

Yes he just overlays real carbon fiber on your parts. You can buy new parts to send him or use your originals. You can't tell the difference.

You can't beat Bony to carbon fiber.:lol He had all these finished parts installed before I could get my original parts out of the car.

Bony is referring to the steering wheel inserts, inside door pulls, and e-brake bezel also. I guess this guy can overlay just about anything you want him to. I've got him pricing me a set of V-Rod sheet metal (fenders and air box).

Maybe I'll get the gips on my custom .45 done.:biggrin

Ah, now I see where.

CF veneers

Soroush - they are just overlays or veneers of CF that cover the stock part. Pretty much what most of the Vette & Stang gang go with. The real way to do it is to replace the stock part with a CF part - lightweight & looks cool.

Ed

Real or implants vs. padded bra.

Or caps vs. veneers on your teeth? Surprised you didn't make that analogy.

Ed

Real or implants vs. padded bra.

Wow. Are you saying that real is just as good as implants?

Shouldn't it be:

REAL vs. implants or padded bra?

Real = CF

Implants = Crowns

Padded = Veneers

I agree that for large or structural pieces where there may be a weight savings or a strength issue, a molded carbon fiber piece is the way to go. But with accent and trim pieces like this there are no weight savings and it's basically a cosmetic upgrade. The cost to mold and build these parts from 100% carbon fiber would be cost prohibitive. Just to be clear, he does use real carbon fiber overlays and it is indistinguishable from a completely molded part.

For you purists, he can make a mold of any part you want and produce it from 100% carbon fiber. Just bring a fat checkbook.

This is just a sideline for him.This guy's main business is building race car bodies out of carbon fiber. He has been asked to become a forum sponsor but he would like to be sure there is a demand for his products before committing. Just a few more orders and we'll have a new supporting sponsor.

Ask for Rob

I have no connection with him and actually, another forum member did the legwork and turned me onto this company.

I'm just a happy customer.:thumbsup

Rob and Speedtek are who made my CF aero package. Great guy! Tons of talent! He would be a great addition to our community. He was involved with C5-R and C4-R that won LeMans.
