I finally got to see the "Black Beauty" come off the transport truck Saturday at dusk. And I don't know if there is going to be a trend - but about the time it was rolling off, the rain started to come down in Phoenix! And we haven't had any rain in at least a week.
Anyway, this is the next morning, out front of my place and "unpolished" (guess I'll have to get used to more of that with a Black GT).
I've been watching and inquiring for many months now and BJ Motors put this one up at the right price and I snagged it quickly. Sorry to hear that a fellow forum member gave her up - but I assure you, she is in good hands.
I'm only going to post one pic - because she will look much different by the time the Rally gets here. I'm following another trend I like on these - with blacking out many items and some custom rims.
It's been interesting looking over this, very early '05 GT (#102) in the past few days and comparing it to my '06 Tungsten. Immediate catches by "Team Jeff" and I were: Billeted A-Arms; the "raw" look to the seams in the wheel wells of the clamshell; and I've also noticed some items just aren't as quite as "detailed" as they are on the Tungsten in the interior - like paint quality on the tunnel/gauge markings, etc. It's not that I don't love it. I think it's "unique" and interesting. Just great to compare.
I want to say thanks to this great community I joined about 1.5 years ago and DBK, Chip, the "late" BONY and all the supporters. It's been great and I look forward to many, many more years of fun, friendship and driving!
