Bought a 2/11 date code in the Detroit area. They are out there.

The" BLACK FORD GT BATTERY " with the sticker saying the same was your original.....A red top "FORD GT BATTERY " saying the same was the factory replacement under warranty .........The new dated ones are complete replacements....same battery , no FORD GT sticker............enjoy gtjoey1314

Difference between our industry (automotive) and consumer products.

We negotiate an engineering change, get a new part number and the price to the OEM goes down.

Sears marketing guys read this thread, found out their product fits a Ford GT, iproduct gets a new label, and voila ~~ Whiter Whites, New and Improved Price!

Sears Replacement Battery-Suggestion

Suggestion: For those of you who decide to purchase the sears you will find that it has four terminals, two posts on top which you will use and two terminals (screw in types) on the length side of the battery that will face forward. These two terminals have plastic plugs/covers to prevent shorting. Strongly recommend that you secure these plastic protective plugs/covers to the battery, so you do not have a dangerous situation when you install or remove the battery. I used two part epoxy for this purpose.
