Just got back in town from Arkansas. My Dad got the bug and bought a 140 mile Heritage on MSO from Shelby so we drove down and trailered it back up to Michigan. It has the full FRPP exhaust, trans cooler and some of those FRPP caps. That exhaust sounds really killer, and holy hell, carrying all the stock components to the trailer, they must weight 100 lbs more. The car is literally virtually brand new and it looked really awesome. He was going to sell his KR but I think he's decided to keep it.

Shelby's new dealership is very sweet too. It's going to be a long and ongoing fight for him to keep the faceprints off the glass. I've bought two cars from him and now my Dad bought this one, and they've all been very easy to get done.

Go Blue Oval. :thumbsup

Congrats. Mr. Bannister, Man what a car collection. You'll be dangerous now. Payback to your wife will be HELL. I'm still paying back. GO BLUE. Tomy Hamon

Cool Car...that means your mom and dad can join us in Virginia this September???
Maybe we can work together to get your dad and Neil Ressler to both come? Could be a Ford VP Reunion.

Congratulations to Dad, Dave (and Mom)! And like AJB says, hopefully all can meet at VIR in September! Or maybe Carlisle in early June. Will be fun to meet more Ford royalty!!! :cheers

I need to go to Huntsville, Alabama in a couple of months and hope to stop by to see Shelby's new place. Looks lux and killer!!!

Congrats... I think that is now a new record for the highest number of GTs owned by one family.

Welcome to the new owner and hopefully new member of the Forum. What will his screen name be? PapaDBK? BigDaddyDBK?

Dave, Congrats to your dad! He will surely enjoy.:cheers Shelby only has quality cars! :thumbsup

HH, I think Mr. Martin owns the title of most in a family.

Is you dad going to drive it or just "keep" it?

Oh he'll drive it. I'm sure he'll drive it alot more when he retires, but I expect he'll drive it about as much as the KR. I think he put 1500 miles in a year and a half on that car.

That's cool man congrats !

I'm supprised it took him this long to pull the trigger. Tell him I said Congrats!:cheers

Dave,

That's GREAT. I wish my dad was alive and able to do that. I hope your father is able to join us at VIR. I'm happy for both of you. I just got back from Sacramento with my GT after driving all night. It's ready for the Mile. I have 1 & 1/2 days to work before I head for Texas. I'll see you there. :cheers

nice!, congrats!

Very nice indeed. How is the blue one comming? Like Tomy said, it cost me a diamond ring and some art work to ship my Ferrari engine to New Mexico for some modifications.:biggrin

John

He was suddenly so fixated on getting one he was bouncing from color to color. We talked quite a bit before he bought it and he said "Did you buy a black one? That black one Shelby has looks pretty good." So I said "No, I bought a blue one." So he says "Well why don't you let me buy that blue one from you?" I told him "Yeah, but this thing is gonna be twin turbo." "Well, that's not all bad." :lol Ultimately the allure of the Heritage was too great.

The centerbolt HRE's for the blue car are done and the intake and stuff are painted. It should be on it's way here in two weeks.
