Any FGT Forum members in the Vero Beach area?

Tony....I'll take it easy, but I have a fairly extensive racing background (have driven everything from FV to Indy car).....but yeah, thanks for the reminder again, this is more hp than any street car I've driven before....

Congratulations! Hope to see pics as soon as it arrives! :thumbsup

Wizard, welcome! I believe I remember you from Prime. There are a few of us on here that have added or replaced our NSXs with a GT. It will change your life.

MNJason,

Yeah I used to be an NSX guy.....well still have mine, still love that car. Did we ever met?

2112,

I will do that!

Are we lucky or what????

Congrats and Welcome !!

StormCat.....thank you sir.....

Ross, Welcome to our special group of FORD GT Lovers. Be prepared to move a chair or bed to your garage as you won't want to leave your GT. Just to sit and STARE is very comforting as the design of our GT's is very appealing to the eyes. You now own a very amazing vehicle. Welcome. Tomy

Welcome Aboard!! :thumbsup :thumbsup

:cheers

Tomy and Ralphie.....thanks

Ross, congrats!! Honestly, in so many weird little ways the GT has a lot in common with the NSX. Just to name a few: Virtually hand-built. Built by passionate people each and every one loving to be on the project and knowing they're assembling greatness. Aluminum body and chassis. Staggered wheel sizes. Beauty more than skin deep. Driver's car. Buttery shift linkage (actually because Ford copied the NSX here). Halo car. Driving sensation lives up to the looks sensation. The biggest difference is that one has torque and the other one doesn't!!

Anyway, welcome! You will love it. You drop by with that bad boy once it arrives and we'll spend some time talking all the in's and out's!

I was sitting at the local watering hole after work and there were like 10 NSX's drove by. The local club must have been out for a drive up to Estes Park.

Kendall,

Yeah I'll definitely come by....have to do the exhaust right away, but I also want to do the bumper delete at some point......and I guess these two mods are related to each other, with regard to tip length?

So what was the story/mystery with this ME / FL car you were chasing?? Sounds like a "ghost" car, yes??

Car was currently in Vera Beach, owner had never registered it, hoped he could pass it on without paying tax etc etc, first he wanted to sell it and then wasn't so sure, dude just make up your mind, anyway agreed on a price, I was told the car was not on the market so there was no hurry, and while I was trying to figure out the PPI the dude sold it to someone else, said he got more money......oh well, not so cool, but I guess it goes that way sometimes......someone way overpaid I'd say, at least compared to what Shelby and I worked out......car had 100 less miles, same options, same car, and no pulley/tune for $14K more?

You done good and you'll love it. Weather is going to be awesome tomorrow so a friend and I are going on a whiskey getter drive :) I expect well put bottles behind the seats and in the trunk.

So......did you get the car yet?

Shelby and I were having some trouble finding a truck heading from Arkansas to California.....maybe gas prices or something, who knows. It was driving us both crazy for several days until an hour or so ago when he was finally able to put something together. I should have it early next week.

Of course this is not the car that was the topic of this thread. That deal kind of went south due to a flaky seller and so I put a deal together on one of Shelby's cars that kept "calling" to me. Negotiating with Shelby was a breeze......

How's your sale going?

Exciting! I'd be chomping at the bit until next week.
Shelby does have good examples. Really wish I could swing the 94 mile white/blue stripe. Ugh, so perfect.

Sale is....well...it's still for sale:/

Yeah I saw that one....really nice. That might just be the one for you. You tell that damn Shelby...Ross said to give you an amazing price....I'm sure that will do it!!!

Is that endorsement good for a $20-30K discount?:)
