Another Happy Heffner customer.

I had the pleasure of spending a good part of yesterday over at Heffner's. Left my house at 6:45 AM and arrived at Jason's at 8:00. Traffic wasn't too bad, and taking the GT over the Sunshine Skyway bridge was a lot of fun.

They were ready for me and the car was started on about 8:15. I had them do trany cooler (cooltech), Heffner cat back, pulley and tune. Two very competent tech's worked on the car for six hours and by 3:15 I was ready to head back towards Tampa. Jason and I got to know each other a bit over lunch, and I can say he is a very stand up guy with a great business. His people are top notch. A real pleasure to do business with.

On the exhaust install, I found it interesting they took the whole back of the car apart. Bumper, clamshell, rear 1/4 pieces etc. Jason explained that it is much easier to do the job right this way. Every thing was taped off to avoid scratches and great pains were taken to get all parts properly alligned when reinstalled. They took a fair chunk of time just to adjust the exhaust properly so it hits the holes in the bumper just right. After watching this install, I was extremely happy I didn't have the Ford garage do the install of the exhaust as originally planned. They were going to do it when I had to have the drivers side cat replaced but thankfully, do to some complications, the exhaust couldn't be there in time. As it turned out the Ford garage had stripped out two of the three bolts on my exhaust when putting the cat on, causing Jason's guy's a bit of grief.

The ride home was a lot more entertaining than the drive there. Anyone that has been on the fence on doing pulley and tune and or exhaust, get off off it and get it done. Not only is the sound spectacular (but not too loud for cruising), the performance difference on my car is astounding. The tune and exhaust Jason explained is 80-100 HP improvement. I didn't dyno mine, but there is a huge diff in the power of my car.

Overall, a very enjoyable day.

Congrats!!! Top notch group :cheers

Peak, saw your car at Jason's, it looks awesome. Looked a little light in the rear end though. Jason also has two more twin turbo GT's lined up in his shop. Pretty soon us supercharged guy's will be outnumbered by the twin hair dryer set.

Another happy GT owner with more power. Enjoy it and be careful with your newfound power!

Rick,

Your car is still s-l-o-w.

Congratulations Rick, on your new power level...I hope you will be getting more smiles per gallon...

They didnt dyno your car to check the new tune? I guess they must have it down to a science.

Jason is an awesome! Their work is first class. If I ever go with the Twins. Jason will do it!

I don't think Jason Dyno's the new tune unless you pay for a dyno test and have time to do one. He has done quite a few of these tunes with the SCT program. Maybe Jason could chime in and let us know how many get the dyno done too. I may have it done another time for curiosities sake.

A nice thread

I always enjoy reading about an experience where the exchange of value is good for both parties. Quality service seems to have second place to the act of making a sale; it is nice to read that there are folks that remember, appreciate, and respect the customer as the key to their success.

Enjoy your gal and be safe out there

All the best

Sinovac, I'll show you slow next time we get together. Did you ever put the headers on the blue dust magnet yet? I thought I read some old thread that said you had some. One ride in mine and and you are going to want to do something to energize that stocker.

I have to agree. I'm currently in the middle of my second "adjustment" by Jason Heffner and have nothing but good to say about him. He's more than fair in his pricing and very concerned about making sure I'm happy with the end result. He has been excellent about communicating and keeping me informed as well as asking for my input on the cosmetic aspects. Although I'm sure I'm wrong,:lol the money almost seemed secondary to him.

Transport charges are getting pretty pricey from Texas to Florida, but I won't go anywhere else.:thumbsup

I haven't put the headers on yet but I guess I'll need to do something now to keep up with the neighbors. You made the right call by going to Jason for the work.

Thanks guys. Rick, It was a real pleasure to have the opportunity to spend some time with you and I couldn't be happier to hear that you are now enjoying your car more than ever.

As far as dynoing the cars once the tune has been installed goes, it is optional. We have dyno'd dozens of cars with this tune and have not had the need to make any additional adjustments.

Congrats GT35065 !!
Did you change the air filter aswell ?
If not, would you get better performance or response if you did ?
