First of all, the Accufab XPipe really isn't a muffler because as far as I can tell, there's no muffler but however, of course the cross-over design does have some muffling effect by cancelling resonsnace from both cylinder banks.
How do I like the system? I LOVE IT. Love it so much that I am even reluctant to change anything else in the exhaust manifold and cats so that I can preserve the sound. I noticed more drone when the car still had the OEM supercharger but for whatever reason, there's less drone in the car now with the Whipple installed. It could be me getting used to the drone which is unlikely as drone as just get more and more tiring over time. Maybe with the Whipple, I don't have to lean on the gas pedal as much while freeway cruising and thus less drone. But if I entercount more drone than I like say cruising in 6th, then I just simply downshift to 5th or even 4th, then the RPM would go into the high 2K range and whatever drone there's, it will go away. What I love the most is the burbble and I let off the gas while curising slowly, the sound is faint, like kinda like thunder but from afar. Priceless.
Of course, it will help drop the engine temp. by about 15 to 20 degrees.
Does Accufab make an X Pipe for a Ford 4.6L engine? 'cause I have a Ford Sport-trac pickup that needs the same sound improvement. Hello John......
