As I slowly bring my FGT back on line from its long dormant phase due to
multiple gauge failures, I wanted to replace the OEM battery at the same time.
After an attempt to use an Odyssey 1400T went awry, I elected
to use one of the Sears Platinum Die Hard AGM batteries that many others
have used as a replacement.
After searching multiple Sears stores around the DFW area and finding only
versions that have been on the shelf for many months (some at the Tyler TX
store sitting since 2008) I finally located two fresh batteries at the Denton Sears
Automotive Center with mfg dates of 7/11. Woo Hoooo!
Picked it up last week as we were moving my step daughter into her her new
house, also in Denton.
Got the thing installed in my FGT and made a little test run last Sunday... first drive
in quite a while.
What a great feeling it is to again get my car back in action.:biggrin
