Yep.

I spoke at length with Mike Delahanty at PRI about these engine configurations, 5.0 block/5.2 heads and 5.2 block/5.2 heads, and definitely agree with your conclusion.

Wow, wonder if the Ford Performance road map has this engine, with some form of boost, in an S550 called whatever. Perhaps GT500?

On another topic, how much fun would this be in a Fox notch.....

Or a GT40 replica!

Put it in a wrecked GT. Would probably dump 200 lbs over the 5.4.

The GT350 block and heads were made live on the FR website last week.
The block is M-6010-M52 and the heads are M-6049-M52/M-6050-M52.

This would be a great idea

If not more. Weight of the actual SC, and all the plumbing, fluids, associated with the inter cooler etc

Quoted hp is on 101 octane, but it's a killer motor anyway.

What would that cost and what would it weigh vs a 5.0 coyote?
Could I just drop that sucker into my 302-S?

Paul, that topic actually came up during my conversation with Mike. He said he ran the same tests on the two configurations with 93 octane pump gas and the torque/hp values did not change that much. They just pulled a little spark advance.

For pricing on “that” (?) configuration you will have to call Ford. Certainly depends if you want to buy the complete 5.2L M-6007-A52XS cross-plane crank engine OR want to mix/match 5.2 components with an existing 5.0. I would think there is a slight increase in weight over the base Coyote/Roadrunner engine, but not that much.

And yes, this would be a plug-n-play engine into a 302-S. Might want to talk to Watson Racing (builders of the 302-S) to see if any ECU changes are necessary. You might be seeing something like a new 302-S with this powertrain in the future....

Provides some interesting options for the GT500.

If the cross plane crank 5.2 can make 110 hp/liter, while the production Voodoo makes 100 hp/liter, I wonder how much more power is locked up in the Voodoo.

I bet it's an honest 600bhp.

Thnx guys.

Just bought a V6 fox vert, near pristine body with a broken V6. Step 1 Coyote swap kit from Late Model Restoration, then find this motor. The article I read is they are starting at 570. Stroking the motor is the next possibility. Can you imagine this with boost?

So it must be a "4 eye"? As later Foxes (87-93) only had v-8, and I-4, right? You are totally on a cool project there. With that level of HP, I think there might be some body twist with out a roof.

Subframe connectors are going in, it is an 86 model, perfect body. Was in my neighbor's garage. Grabbed it for $800. Might have 25 to 30 in it when done.

That will be awesome! Hopefully you will keep us updated

Working on my boat now, hopefully starting in the fall. That will give Ford time to get the motor in the sales channel.
