    New BMW Z4 GTE

Wow! Now that's slick. I presume that Rahal will be racing those. I have a Z-4 335is with the 7-speed DCT transmission and I'm very impressed. Great power and that gearshift is seamless. The extra 40 bhp boost at full throttle is a nice feature.

    Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona

Sorry, I've been off the Forum for a long time! If anyone is attending the 24 Hours of Daytona this week-end, stop by Red RV spots 504 & 505. (Just down from the International Horseshoe) We'll have a couple of RV's (Airstream Skydeck) set up and ready to entertain. We're rooting for Leh Keen...

    345/30-19 rears

I've got 345's and they look and feel good except for older roads where there are "wear grooves" in the surface. The rear tires tend to steer the car. I would not go this route again.

    A day at Road Atlanta

Local Hot Shoe Leh Keen broke the Road Atlanta production car record over the week-end with a stunning 1:23.8 in a Nissan GT-R. He and Mike Skeen are slated to run One Lap of America next year in GT-R's. Look for fireworks from these two great drivers.

For all the bike guys on this Forum, MotoGP will be in Austin next April. I think the MotoGP guys are going to LOVE this track. It has all the right elements. See: http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2012/COTA+race+date+anouncement+for+2013 With the new rider line up's, this should be a great event...

    F1 Austin

I was there all three days - most time spent around Turn 19. Spectated from several vantage points all of them good. A friend had Hamilton on his RV! Wonderful track, wonderful event with a great Texas vibe to it. A buddy hooked us up with parking right at the font gate! Traffic was a breeze...

    Seeking gt40 replica

I was at CMP in SC earlier this year and Lee was there with a Swedish customer testing one of his GT-40's. Very nice car. I believe it sold!

    Seeking gt40 replica

Ron - Call me. I could be talked into parting with my Gulf CAV GT-40. Very well built street car that could be tweaked for track use easily.

Stirling Moss narrates a GT40's lap at Le Mans

Pedro Rodriguez drove for 17 of the 24 hours in one of the late 60's races! Now that's an Iron man!

    MY New GT

Congrats! Enjoy the car. Quote: " A Black Tie event and I am to display the car. The invitation actually has my car on the invitation. How Cool!" Ditto's on that - my Heritage will be one of the cars on display at Friday night's Gala at the Kiawah Island Motoring Retreat...

    Bmw z8

Love my Z-8. Highly recommended. Stock run-flats are a PIA, so replace them. There were some upper suspension mount issues on a few cars that were vastly overblown. Probably caused by the "brick like" run flats! Do due diligence on the Z-8 Forum.

    Speaking of battery chargers...

Nope - but saw a non-working "Prototype" at a trade show a year ago! Guy was good...I saw some Eskimo's with fridges! I'm all about the C-Tek chargers...quite good.

Ferdinand Porsche, 911 sports car designer, dies

Had the honor of meeting him at several PCA events over the years. A man worthy of the accolades. I have several pre-74 911's and they really are the spirit of this wonderful design. RIP F.A. - your 911 is in good hands all over the world.
