A day at Road Atlanta

We had a couple of picture perfect weather days at Road Atlanta last weekend. Took the GT and 911. Good group of cars and lots of good instruction. Vid and pics below. Ride along for 13 terrorizing minutes. The laps aren't terribly fast and braking not too deep yet, but I'm working on it. We do get past a few interesting cars, but I'm sure they were just cruising looking at the leaves. Loads of fun. Just the thing for a post Rally hangover. Your critique welcome.

There are organizers that rent the track for track day events. Google MVP Motorsports and Chin Motorsports. Review their schedules and sign up. Both offer complimentary instructors. Get out there. :thumbsup

Organizer, Mark Pfeffer puts on a very good show and has many good instructors available to hone your track skills. A great way to learn the capabilities of this amazing car.

You just have to remember one thing, "This is NOT a race...."

Local Hot Shoe Leh Keen broke the Road Atlanta production car record over the week-end with a stunning 1:23.8 in a Nissan GT-R. He and Mike Skeen are slated to run One Lap of America next year in GT-R's. Look for fireworks from these two great drivers.
