    Paint Bubbles on Hood

Correct. I installed the hood on Bony's car. Initially we were going to put it on completely natural but the guys in the brown van dropped it on it's head and damaged one of the corners so I had a friend of mine that builds race boats in CF repair it and we elected to paint it due to the CF...

    changing antifreeze in intercooler

We use the Snap-On Rad Kit Vacuum Evac tool. We have a couple of them use them extensively in GT's in our shop (P/N#RADKITPLUSA) They are actually OEM specified in the FSM for the cooling systems. Use that and you'll have no issues with trapped air in the intercooler or engine cooling systems.

    Shadowman "Another Worthy Consideration"

As BlackICE so very well explained; and I won't bore everyone with a complete dissertation of air/oil separators as there is loads of info out there on the interweb but as it pertains to the information shared here; the oil vapor that is ingested into the engine will, to varying degrees degrade...

    Whipple car keeps shredding belts

I have seen several of the high-grip, cross-cut style pulleys shred belts on Mustangs we have worked on in the past, it seems like they are somewhat tough on belts especially if there are any mis-alignment or tensioner issues. We have done a lot of research in the past and well documented the...

    Gates heat shrink hose clamps

I have used the Gates shrink clamps many times for coolant, radiator, and bypass hoses regularly in my shop with excellent results. Of course they are not reusable so I like to use them for hose connections and tees that are not routinely removed. They are fine for PCV and breather hoses but...

    Headlight Tech

I have changed several of the headlight bulbs, they are made by Phillips and were also used OE on some Cadillacs for around $70. I don't have the part number handy at the moment but they are not difficult to replace once the fender liners have been removed.

Questions on Purging Engine and Intercooler Radiators

We use the Snap-On RADKITPLUS and it works perfectly everytime; so much so that Ford calls it out specifically by name in the FSM as the preferred method for filling the cooling systems. It makes life easy plus it will show you if a leak is present saving time and lost coolant. :thumbsup...

    Transmission oil catch can ?

:agree: We have seen half a dozen or so cars in our shop that had the cooler installed and yet still had some seepage from the OE breather even though we had cleaned the transaxle case and diffuser panels at an earlier point in time. This indicated that there still was some seepage even with a...

    Transmission oil catch can ?

Here's what our transaxle breather and oil separators look like installed on the S/C cars. The TT versions are different but function the same. You can see those on Chip's car at the rally or in an upcoming post.:thumbsup

    Bad tensioner or whipple bearing

With a new belt and the shim kit installed you should be in great shape. As zrchris stated above, we have fixed a good number of the 3.3 cars with 100% success.:thumbsup

    Oil Separator

Hi MAD IN NC and Lorenzo, I'm very pleased to hear that our units are working great for both of you guys :thumbsup I completely agree with Stormcat, the intake has a drainback and I would also not advise putting anything in the way of a solvent into the intake and contaminating the oil. As...

    Spedo Pick up O-ring

I have never found a suitable replacement although if you go to a hydraulic and hose supply house with a full selection of metric o-rings you should be able to match it up. The last couple of failed ones I've done just ended up getting new VSS's because they are so reasonably priced.
