Hood not staying open - Strut replacement?

Hello, I searched the forums but couldn't find anyone with this problem (which surprises me - I must be bad at searching!).
My '05 engine hood is barely staying open, and generally drops back down after a few seconds. The lift strut isn't holding it up properly any more. What would be the solution to this problem?
Is the lift strut fixable? I assume it's just much easier to replace the struts. The docs don't show a part number for them unfortunately.
Thanks, and merry xmas to all!

do a search for Nota4re, he has replacement struts for the clamshell, and the frunk, easy to install, last longer and are less expensive, and easier to obtain than OEM

Carry a broomstick with you 😂. Kendall sells the front and rear replacement struts.

Search for "strut".

Just bring a bungee and always park under something low enough to hook to

😬

It's a Ford, no need to open clamshell. Nothing fits in the frunk so no need to open it either!

The cool tech struts are really terrific

Definitely the way to go, it's like a little blue pill for the frunk or clamshell!!!!

Shipped :) I have good stock of front and rears for immediate shipment.

I ordered a set, front and rear, a couple days ago. I look forward to a clamshell that stays up!
