Is there a way to adjust the passenger foot rest forward or any existing mods for doing this. I could always engineer and fabricate something to accomplish this.

I think they have been removing the pad.

Forward? Closer to seat, or further away for more leg room? Either the answer, there is no provisions for it to move in any way. Removal is the only option

You won’t regret removing it
It’s only there for DOT approval

I keep mine in place as I use the area in front of the foot rest for storage.

After a closer look at it, there is no way to modify the existing rest.
It's either remove or use as a storage place, which is a good idea.
Disission time.
Thank you for the advice and info
you all, much appreciated.

When I had the car wrapped I had the foot rest wrapped and the CF panel behind it.

Five minutes, two screws and instant six-inches more leg room. If you have tall friends riding shotgun with any regulatity, taking it out is mandatory, or they end up with their knees in their mouths.

I use the area above the foot rest to place my Fire extinguisher wrapped in a towel!

Mount it solid. You don't want that thing hitting you in the face, or anywhere else, during a collision.

My first mod was removing the footrest. I had the CF panel behind it covered with PPF.

I guess I'll leave mine for now. Funny, Susan mentioned that when we were out Sunday.

I had to remove mine so a long-legged Texan would fit in Atlanta.
