Freddy how smooth is the runway compared to the 1st time you ran there?

It looks worse but feels the same to me. I would say that it is good for 300 mph in a GT and 450 mph in a jet powered dragster

Well I was a Saturday only, so it's done for me. Yeah, I think Tom out there mentioned the FGT only event.....like wow, that would be great!

They asked me to go 150, did that in 4th gear...haha. They asked me to do 175, and that was no problem on the long course, coasted through. My open run I did 194 on the magnum course (it showed about 205 on the speedo with BSs). I wanted to do 200, so I had a trick up my sleeve. Ran the tank empty and put in 15 gallons 100 octane and a Torrie tune. Sat there for 2 more hours in line before they said, that's it no more. So that expensive gas just paid for my trip home. I was a bit pissed because they said we'd get one more run before I put it in. I assume that would have provided the 200 on their clock.

My car is a pulley tune car only.....stock SCer.....Kendall exhaust......

I was there as well, and I completely agree that the event was oversold. I got in a total of four runs although two of them were novice. having said that, I was there for about 10 hours to get my four runs. I got a 210 and 213 in the Mojave Magnum. tomorrow I plan on knocking down 215. 19 pounds of boost on a 3.4 liter Whipple with a cold air intake and race gas making 800 the wheels

213 on a 3.4 Whipple?? Excuse my mile running ignorance here, but something doesn't compute. How did you pull almost a full 20 mph faster than Freddy with 'only' 30 more hp?

He ran the 1.5 mile course and I ran the 1 mile course. I saw him run a 209.X mph run prior to his 213 mph run. I did not get to see his 213 mph run and i wonder if his "213" mph run was a 212.X mph run or a true 213.0 mph run like mine was last year? Either way that 213 mph run was at the end of the day when the tail winds were ~ 20 mph....

^^^^ - This morning i went 216.6 mph on the 1.5 mile course with a 3,900 foot DA and a 15 mph crosswind. this is the official outright world record for a GT with a supercharger and stock long block at any track, anywhere!!!

after that run i went 198.2 mph on the 1 mile course with a 4,100 foot DA and a 20 mph crosswind. i smoked the Bridgestones so hard in 1st gear that i had to short shift into 2nd gear at 6,000 rpm's; and when i did it kicked the rear of the car out sideways so hard that it must have moved the car the equivalent of a full lane on a highway to the left when it finally regained traction. it all happened so quick that i can't remember if i got off the throttle or not? anyway, that should have produced a slow run but it did just the opposite and i reset my own record at Mojave in the mile for a GT with a supercharger....

i will post a full write up complete with pix when i get back home :thumbsup

Congrats Freddy!! Those are great results. Sounds like you've optimized your current set up! How many runs were you able to get in today? Wished I could have been there...

I did two runs today and two runs yesterday. I could have done more runs but that was all I wanted to do. If i had a stickier set of tires such as a Hoosier R6 I think I could have gone 200.0 mph in the mile today
