When I first bought my GT I changed over my stock radio to a bluetooth head unit that would allow my phone use. Recently I installed the escort nav/rear cam/bluetooth mirror which solves all the problems! Wouldn't you know it, now I can't find my stock radio. Anyone know where I can get one (not the Mac). I would think its just a standard Ford head unit used in other vehicles?

Its a sanyo FXD-885GD radio. search sanyo, but I think this is a good link

I don't think it is used in any other Ford vehicles.

What mirror did you install with nav/cam/bluetooth...? Sounds interesting.

I think he is talking about this one:

Unfortunatly it does not include radar or interior lights and its kind of pricey for a add on nav unit. Nice way to install a BU camera though. If it had the map lights I might consider it even though I have no need for the nav in the GT.

I have the "smart mirror", and had a custom "dome light" made so I have good interior lighting. I also had a custom V1 and Blinder Laser Jammers installed as well. I'm "tech" challenged, but maybe someone can put up some pictures the next time I'm in a GT crowd. I'll be at "The Barn" the end of April with GTG.

I have an original one in mint condition. Was 4 weeks old at the time of removal. Been in a box ever since. Email sent!

Yes, Escort smart mirror is the one! I also have the passport SR7 radar jammer, detector installed. The mirror is a perfect solution to limited visibility and phone call. Nav works great, phone stays in my pocket!

I love the retro look of the OEM Mac.

If you decide to go the Mac route I have a couple of them on the shelf.

Really? How much?

Are the stock and the MAC head units interchangeable?

Stock unit is self powered.

Mac has the amp mounted with the subwoofer
So the Mac deck is non amplified
