So I get my 2011 Sports Car Market Price Guide only to find out they rate the GTs a C grade ("cars that have some inherent interest, but had few special or desirable characteristics") and it got 1 Star out of 5 ("often a recent production car that is still depreciating...") They give a price range of $130--$150.

Then I recalled the same magazine, SCM had a different view a few months ago. I still had the March 2010 edition in which they rated the GT an " A" investment grade. Having bought GTS since March 2010 they sure don't seem to be going down. Go figure

The price guide is way off on certain cars. Production numbers, surviving unmolested cars, and what is hot 20 years from now will dictate where GT's are pricewise. At this point, prices appreciating with the rate of inflation may be what we see. Car is probably a B and 3 stars currently, in my opinion.

Car is fun... that is all.

I agree....everything else is speculation.

MY GT is an A+ and six stars... So there.

Some intern update that while hungover...thinking its a Mustang

Give Keith Martin (publisher of SCM and host of "What's My Car Worth") credit. He did get back to me and said the C investment rating for a GT did not look right and he was going to look into it.

Thats way off. Has to be a misprint.

I think Keith knows that especially since I pointed out the article they did in 2010 saying GTs were a solid A and going up. I told Keith I had followed the cars for this entire period and listed what cars were selling for depending on mileage, color, and VIN. He was appreciative.

hopefully they will do a retraction article once they find out what went wrong with the current analysis

Retards!

That's exactly what I say every time I check the prices on your website. Just a little dealer humor-- and aimed at one I have bought 3 GTs from.

The article is completely irrelevant. Who would ever sell a GT?

IMO there wasn't another DOT/EPA certified car sold new in 2005, 2006 that has retained a higher resale value than out FGTs!

I really don't care what "they" say ---not relavant as I have No plans on selling it.

i believe the rating comes from the difference between "desirable" and "rare". with 4,000 made, it will take many years for it to be considered "rare". but it has so many attributes that make it desirable that nice low mileage examples have not lost any value.
