Here is a link to a video I found on youtube.
This guy is rebuilding a GT (In Germany), The odd thing at approx half way through the Video he appears to be straightening a rim using a port-a-power.
Then later on it shows him with some neat looking homemade/shop(CNC) control arms.

Just a odd mix
Mike

I am not sure I would trust a wheel straightened that way at high speeds.

I woudn't trust it unless I drove like EP!

There are some very reliable and safe methods for straightening rims. I use a company here in Phoenix (Wheel Specialists) and another in Ohio (Motomotion) who do excellent work. (However, their methods differ from the crude method shown in the video!)

Nsf, seeing your avatar again reminds me that you need to post more!! :thumbsup

That said I would not want to do 200+ on a straightened rim. That is just me though.

Thank you.

On some cars I do have the rims refinished, Just had an 08 Maxima rim done.

But I would NOT have a rim straightened for use on a Gt or any other Hi-speed, Hi-hoursepower car, If I am Going 200 + I am not going to risk my life or others on a possible structurally damaged rim.
