I just heard that the Performance Power white Ford GT owned by Johnny Bohmer went 253mph in the Top Gun standing mile run in Florida. :bow

Totally ridiculous. That is ungodly fast.

Wow, if that is true then that is epic.

And I'll be the first one to put my foot in my mouth.

I posted this video many months ago (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iJOkwmno2c) and we all had a good laugh at his "outrageous" claims.

Yep.. I was there : )

Ditto. To be fair though, the assumptions on what the car would do were partly based on things like the $900,000 GT they had for sale on their site. :lol

i dont even wanna go to the Texas Mile now to chase Mullet's 226

seems so insignificant :lol

curious to see what Torrie ran...they are saying 220+

seems like an awesome day for the GT

bye bye Supra and Lambo......

America is #1 in the mile again :usa

I'm just hoping the Top Gun run is well organized like the Texas Mile so it can be "official."

I heard it was pretty good and they have some sort of Tag Heuer timing system.

That get's it!!!!!

All the GT's ran strong.. My little ol' pulley and tune car ran 195 mph and some change. Camilo ran in the 189-190 mph range..:thumbsup

thats awsome, now the record is where it always should have been:thumbsup

I hope they bring it to the texas mile!

i heard they had tailwinds. since the track is basically at sea level i bet the DA was close to sea level as well. must be nice......

Props to them for backing up the hype. WOW!!! So cool.
