yeah, what they said.

With all the new MPG regs alone, building another FGT equal to the present model - let alone BESTING it - would be a tall order. But, were a new one to be built, the changes I'd like to see are pretty darn minor:

1. a windshield designed with REPLACEMENT in mind

2. removable headlight lenses

3. an 'in house', Ford designed/built HVAC system

and,

4. a 'back-up' camera option

5. twice as much power as an option.

THAT "option" is already available!:lol:cheers

I would like a Select-A-Power option... Crank it up only when necessary.

The current FGT already has that, too...but, it's presently referred to as the accelerator pedal! :biggrin :cheers

Include Satellite (XM or Sirius) in the McIntosh (especially for the price of the option).

A cup holder!!!

Hey, all those things are available - just buy a Vette!

Or morph your FGT into a Vette. I heard that somewhere before. :)

the only option worth adding would be a "super gt", making 1000 hp out of the box:lol with a ford 3year 36000 mile power train warranty:eek

Ok, I'll be the contrarian. Although I love the GT as much as anyone, Ford shouldn't sing that tune again. There are more than enough GTs around to satisfy us retro car nuts. My opinion has nothing to do with a desire to prop up the value of our cars.

When Ford is flush again, it should build a true Corvette competitor. Ford should build a range of models like the Corvette line up. The cars could be priced far enough from the Mustangs to avoid cannibalizing sales. The highest performance car should be priced no more than the ZO6.

Who here wouldn't be interested in a 2 seater with a mid mounted 5 liter twin turbo V8 that stickered around $85k? Good night Cayman S.
