This is how i lowered my coolent temps

Your car may or may not need this simple procedure, I too was skeptical however after i used this simple tool i had a drop in coolent temps by around 20 degree's.

You simply hook it up to the tank as shown turn on your air supply and within a few seconds you will see all the cooling hosed completly collapse.
This pulls a vacum on the entire system allowing you to remove any traped air that may be lurking inside.

This is nothing new by any means and chances are your car is fine, I thought i would take a chance on this 100 dollar tool and see what the results would be in my case.

A certain hand model we all know and love tipped me off on this issue as he too has seen similar results.

As per Shadowman's recommendation, I used the RADKITPLUS when changing the coolant in my gal.

It's a must have if you are going to service the cooling system on your gal. I would be happy to loan mine to any forum member that needs one.

I just had the 10,000 mile service done by Kendall Pond at Cool Tech. He used one of these to change the coolant in the radiators and intercooler. He did a great job and I was very happy with the work he did.:cheers:thumbsup

That is the tool called out in the owners manual.
I use mine on all cars when I need to service the cooling system.
Not just mid engine rides.

Snap-on, Mac & Matco have them on the trucks.

Even a few high end on-line tool stores.

Now what did I tell you; not only would the tool be worth the price of admission but even more so it works and "every" gal that I have used it on required more fluid when compared to when she arrived and ran cooler. This process has also corrected more than one erratic water temp gauge as well.

This in simple terms means that "many" of the gals were not properly purged of air prior to delivery.

Now add to this, the tool and the process is exactly the same for the intercooler system and the same results have been experienced time and time again.

I need one. :biggrin Can you buy one online ?? It sounds like there are two versions ? Black Ice has one type and Shadowman has one type.. Does one kit have any more adapters than the other ?? Names please .. Thanks..
 
If you chase down any Snap-on tool truck and ask them for an airlift they will know what you want. The part number on my invoice reads UVW55000

It's nothing new, im sure any tool company like Mac , Snap-on, Matco, ect... will have one. The box mine came in says Made in Canada Tele 905-615-8620 www.uview.com [email protected]

My 1st method only works if the system never had any air in it to begin with. I didn't run any hotter than others during Rally III, in Vegas, so my belief is the system was properly filled. That said, I did buy a vacuum bleeder system like Shadowman. It should make the job easier the next time around.

I got mine from this place, it appears to the same as the one Shadowman uses, but labeled differently.

IMO every Ford GT that has not had this process done to it will benefit; and to answer your specific question; will it solve the track temperature issues discussed; likely no however improve; yes.

I can share that none of the gals that I have tended to have experienced track temperature issues; this includes those folks and their gal that have participated in the Ford GT driving school, Thunderhill, Willow Springs, etc.

After having used this system for the several years I have found that once you attach it and create a vacuum within the system I llet it continue this phase for 20-30 minutes because I find that the system continues to migrate air pockets out of the system even after it appears that you have a stable vacuum.
