2006 Tungsten Ford GT - modifying

Jason, nice project!!! Don't worry the snow it is melting.
John
Did you use the rubber or solid mounts on the shifter???

Mr. Shadowman advised me to use the rubber mounts.

Happy to hear that you are enjoying the project. I will be posting pictures of the Stainless Works header install tomorrow.

Over the weekend I decided not to install methanol injection before this years driving season. I will continue to investigate methanol injection over the next year.

Any way, stay tuned for progress as I will be doing the supercharger pulley install and some real cool custom things.

Cheers
Jason

Beautiful Stainless Works ceramic coated exhaust headers that I purchased from Shadowman.

I decided to add some additional protection to the engine.

I had an aluminum cap fabricated that mounts to the top of the oil filter housing. I installed Filter-Mag magnets to the inside of the cap. The cap is secured to the oil filter housing with three set screws. The magnets rest directly against the top of the housing. When installed it will capture any small metal particles by sucking them against the inner wall of the oil filter housing.

OEM supercharger removed. I just shipped it to Stiegemeier for porting and polishing + a smaller pulley. Here is a link to Stiegemeier's website http://www.stiegemeier.com/home.html I should mention that I am in no way affiliated with Stiegemeier's and/or soliciting on their behalf.

These pics will allow members to compare the before and after pictures.

Wonderful thread, very informative.... keep it up! :-)

I purchased a set of Sullivan Performance custom 5.4L valve covers that will be modified and installed. Here is a link to Sullivan Performance's website http://www.sullivanperformance.com/fordhome.htm Again I am not affiliated with Sullivan Performance and/or soliciting business on their behalf. Just want to show members where I purchased the cool valve covers.

You will notice that these valve covers are for a 'wet' sump oiling system due to the oil fill on the valve cover. I will have the oil fill removed.

The coils will be relocated away from the engine secured in a custom braket from Sullivan Performance. I will then run wires from the spark plugs to the coils. Basically the HEMI look.
