Well to the northern climate brotherhood, days like today, you finally think that this evil winter might actually come to an end finally, and maybe drive the cars again!!!!

Now we just need some cleansing rain!

You have it right, got so excited that I started up all the cars just to hear them run. But stupid me, forgot to turn the cooling fan on for my 427 Cobra (kit) and pegged the Temp gauge!!!!! I did get her cooled off and she sounds OK.

JUST A FEW MORE WEEKS !!!

You think it's just a few more weeks, but there's always one more last gasp big snow sometime in March. I can tell you what I'm not looking forward to: with a lack of funding due to decreased fuel tax revenues, we're going to have to live with some serious road damage this year. There will be wheel eaters everywhere, especially because of this crazy fast freeze-thaws we seem to be getting. Won't want to hit any of those at 100 mph.

none of those around here!
Was 65 yesterday, suposed to be 70 today. Little cloudy, but it's much better than this sub freezing weather we have been getting

Roses are budding, bedding primroses are full of color, doves building nests...
but still to cold to dip in the pool, the spa is fine at 103 degrees,,,, live is hard in Fresno.

DBK, you can't be serious? How can it get ANY worse for roads in MI?

As an aside, I've had thousands of geese in my lake and yard for the last two weeks heading North. I think winter is over.

It will definitely be worse this year. Instead of poorly patched holes, they will just be straight up holes. Nobody will ever be able to convince me that there is anything besides planned obsolescence going on here. Do the roads crappy constantly so you'll have to redo them every year.

Your roads aren't exactly worthy of crowing there either Mr. Pikul. :lol

The Windy City roads are bad, but come downstate and they're fine. I-55 is one of the best roads around.

Franky - you are accepting the typical winter crap and roads as "one of the best roads around" Come South where lifer really begins!

Been 70+ today... Wound her up to limiter!

LOVED IT!

Even the Goodyears worked!

February Convention of Idiots on Lake Erie!

135 hard core ice fishermen went icefishing yesterday, even though they knew that temps would hit the low to mid 50's...this is the result:

Every year, people are warned and then people are rescued, but this year, they were warned about the warm weather and the risky pre levant winds, went out on the ice and unfortunately one person died of a heart attack.

A big thanks to the Coast Guard, which brought in helicopters from as far away as Detroit and Traverse City Michigan, as well as a C-130 from North Carolina...134 were safely returned to shore---now, about their ATV's and snowmobiles, that is a different matter.

Ha, St. Louis was 65 yesterday and 50 today. I didn't take the car out for fear of goose droppings covering it.

Andy ,
I sure am ready for the warm stuff .

No doubt we will be KICKED at least one more time.

For sure Ron, at least I was outside washing wheels yesterday......

Winter In Detroit?

What Winter Weather?

Took the Spirit Heriatge GT machine out for a "Shake Down" run on Friday 02-06-09 afternoon while in Detriot - all I can say is --- SWEET !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A big time THANK YOU to both Rich and Denis, these guys are way beyond good.

IT IS GOOD AS NEW [if not better] - beautiful, fast, tight, and not a rattle one on the Detroit area roads [yes there were a few roads that were worse than bad].

More to follow in a seperate thread.
